Password Reset Emails!!

Please make sure your account and email are 2 step Authenticated!
Lots of accounts (mostly with username log ins) are receiving reset password emails.
Jagex posted this yesterday (14th June 2020) on the support section of the RSOF.

I received one of the password reset emails overnight....

Just ignore and secure your account email and make sure you have 2 step Auth on both your email and Rs accounts to be super sure, and maybe a quick scan of your computer/laptop etc.
I know telling you Oobz is like teaching granny to suck eggs, you and Bailey taught me everything I know about computing, but for any of those lovely clannies that don't do the checks regularly.....
Scan your device and Secure your accounts!

A big sorry to those that think I'm like a broken record but I would not want any more clannies hacked or have their accounts taken. There have been a few over the years and 99% have been because of lax security or clicking on shady links (you all know who you are )

I got one yesterday morning too, again, wondering if maybe they got clan lists and just going through on the off chance someone hasn't secured their account properly or it's a reg list from Tip.it or fandom wiki or something in that vein? Really annoying whatever it is.

This is the first time it happened to me since you first told me it was happening.
If they look me up on the official forum, it's easy to see that mine is an old account and if they look me up on runeclan or runetrack, they can also see I never changed my username.
No idea what they thought they could do though. There's no way they can get to know the email address associated to my account, so I wonder what they thought they could do trying to reset my pw.
