PATCH NOTES 3rd February 2020

Mining
To meet the aims of improving the value of ore, as well as to further increase the value of stone spirits, we’ve made some changes to player stamina while Mining.
Damage dealt to rock’s HP now scales with the player's current mining stamina. With no stamina remaining, swings provide only 20% of the damage that is dealt at full stamina (outside random damage variation and critical hits). Rocks that don't reduce stamina (like red sandstone and Arc crablets) aren't affected by these changes. As before, you can restore stamina by clicking/tapping on a rock again.
Modifiers from pickaxe tier, rock hardness, strength level, and critical hit damage are unchanged and work as before.
Stamina is restored automatically when stone spirits are consumed while under the effect of a perfect juju mining potion.
Stamina no longer depletes while mining Seren Stones, as such Seren stones have had their HP increased from 1500 to 2000.
Updated the mining skill guide to include Anachronia mining locations for various ores.

Smithing
To meet the aims of improving the availability of invention components that were more easily obtained before the M&S rework via weapons & armour we’ve made some changes. We’ve buffed the chances of obtaining components rather than parts from Elder Rune equipment. Due to these large increases in available parts & components, the breakdown perk's activation chance has been adjusted to compensate.
All smithable items now disassemble into 4 Invention parts or components per bar used in their creation.

For example, a 2h sword with no upgrades, which requires 4 bars to create, breaks down into 16 parts or components. An elder rune platebody + 5, which requires 160 bars to create from scratch, breaks into 640 parts or components.

Elder rune equipment now has a higher chance of breaking into components rather than parts, compared to other tiers of equipment. Component 1 increased from 3% to 9% per roll. Component 2 increased from 2% to 6% per roll.
Breakdown Perk Activation Chance from 0.8% per rank per bar, down to a flat 0.8% per rank.

Winter Chill Off
Empowered Blight Staff and Sword are now available as rewards from the Winter Chill Off.
Hotfix: Fixed Norm in the Winter Chill Off event to allow you to correctly purchase the Currency Doubler through the dialogue options if you have the Blightreaver unlocked
Hotfix: Some skilling stations have been adjusted in Winter Chill Off as they were changing states quicker than anticipated.
Hotfix: The Winter Chill-Off interface will now correctly display how much increased experience a player will earn from the event.

Audio
A recent patch caused some issues with sound effects in the game. This week we are launching a fix that should resolve the issue on desktop. A fix for mobile is in the works.
Resolved an issue preventing specific sound effects from playing on desktop.
Audio for attuning the Shadow Reef portal and Liberation of Mazcab have been fixed to play the correct sounds.

Bossing
God Wars Dungeon
The War’s Retreat Reaper Portal now checks for all normal access requirements when pointed at a God Wars Dungeon boss.
Nex
Hotfix: Ancient Ceremonial will once again bypass the kill count requirement when trying to enter the Nex boss area.

Engine
Resolved an issue preventing the client from launching on some Intel HD Integrated Graphics.
Fixed an issue preventing the launcher installer from working on older versions of OSX.

Graphics
Graphics issues with NPCs at longer draw distances while using the free cam has been fixed.

Interface
Boss pets will now show the correct player’s killcount when examined.

Skilling
Non-direct combat methods can now be utilized to progress a variety of slayer tasks that previously could not be progressed in this manner.

Textual
Various Mining & Smithing typos have been fixed and corrected.
The description of the Balancing Wand has been cut down in order to fix an issue where the text was overlapping.

The "Collect all to" buttons on the Collection Box interface have been switched around to match the ordering of the buttons on the Grand Exchange interface.

Augmented combat equipment has also been re-ordered, starting with Body, then Legs. It's also sorted by tier.
The Tower of Life altars can now unnote the first ingredient of a creature's recipe by using the noted item on the altar, or by right clicking/long pressing the altar. This will unnote one item at a time, and will not work with the swordchick altar as the swordchick does not drop noted raw swordfish.
Buy 1, 5, 10, All, and X options have been added to Angof's Crystal Armour Shop on Tarddiad.

Phew, made it through! We said it was long, didn't we!
Lots of useful changes this week, particularly focusing on improving day to day gameplay. What was your favourite change? Let us know using the feedback links at the top of the page.
Catch you next time!

Another great selection of improvements and fixes from the team this week, which we hope you'll love as much as we do!
Wondering where our Ninjas are this week? Well frankly, so are we! Those sneaky devs have alluded us this week, but we have it on good authority that it won't be long until they strike again! Be sure to check back next week in case they make a dash from the shadows.
Until next time!

PATCH NOTES 9th March 2020

Ninja Strike 2

The Ninja Team have been hard at work this week, tackling yet more player frustrations in their second strike! Today sees a good chunk of changes focusing on the Drop Cleaner interface, alongside various other quality of life improvements.
Drop Cleaner Improvements
The Charming Imp now uses the same drop cleaner interface that is used for Herbicide, Seedicide and the Bonecrusher.
Individual Spirit Gems on the Charming Imp interface can now be toggled on and off for consumption or collection, and each type of Spirit Gem now gives a different amount of XP versus the previous 16XP for all Spirit Gems.
These drop cleaner interfaces have all been updated. This affects Herbicide, Seedicide, Charming Imp, and Bonecrusher.
These interfaces now show you the XP you receive for consuming/destroying items, and the GE guide price of those items. This should help players make more informed decisions on the spot, rather than having to search elsewhere for this information. The Charming Imp does not show GE guide prices as charms cannot be traded. Players can mouse over these icons to show tooltips that explain what the icons mean.
With the above change, the selection boxes for each item have been increased in size. Alongside this, the click/tap area for selection boxes has been increased. Previously players could only click/tap on the tickbox, but now this includes the entire box for an item. The "toggle all" options and the "auto collect" options also have increased click/tap areas encompassing their text.
The descriptions of the drop cleaners have been moved from the bottom of the interface to the top, and have all been cleaned up and made more consistent to avoid any ambiguity in understanding what is consumed or collected.
The "Auto-pickup" toggle has been renamed to "Auto-pickup unselected X" to once again remove any ambiguity.
Previously, upgrades to the drop cleaners were hidden if they were not yet obtained. Now they are no longer hidden and are instead shown at the bottom of each interface. This section will now describe where they can be unlocked/bought. This is to better guide players towards obtaining the upgrades.
All items in each of these interfaces are now ordered by type and level, where appropriate, within their own categories. Previously, some of these were out of order. This does not apply to the Bonecrusher as bones do not require a Prayer level to be buried.
The checkboxes on the drop cleaners now use the correct builders, ensuring that they are graphically consistent regardless of normal, legacy or mobile UI.
The chat messages received when an item is consumed or collected has been made more consistent across all drop cleaners. This also means the messaging for translated languages is more consistent.
Finally, other minor adjustments have been made to the interfaces to improve readability, including more vertical spacing between boxes.
Other Strikes
The Geyser Titan Summoning familiar can now recharge all kinds of enchanted dragonstone jewelry. Previously it would not recharge skills necklaces or combat bracelets. Alongside this, some messaging for the Fountain of Heroes, the Legend Guild's Totem Pole, and the 'Tears of Seren' fountain have been made more consistent.
The Ninjas had a word with Egil*, and he will no longer interrupt players with his Ceremonial Sword Plans while they're Smithing. Instead, he'll now wait for you to speak to him to hand you the plans, before disappearing shortly afterwards. *No Egils were harmed in the making of this Patch Note. As a goodwill gesture, the Ninjas gave Egil some smoke bombs to spice up his disappearance.
Used unaugmented versions of Custom Fit Trimmed Masterwork and Custom Fit Trimmed Spiked Masterwork armour can now be keepsaked.
When opened, the skill guide will now automatically jump to the level of your most recently unlocked item. For example, opening the Farming skill guide at level 68 will jump straight to the level 68 unlock which is palm trees. This means you no longer have to scroll all the way through a skill guide to find what is at or around your current levels.
A "Deposit All Raw Fish" option has been added to the magical nets at the Deep Sea Fishing hub. This option will deposit any raw fish in your inventory but won't deposit anything else, such as urns or Deep Sea Fishing hub boosts. This doesn't include magnetic minnows, however, as they can still be turned into bait.

Lumbridge Market Improvements

War never changes, but sometimes people do. Following on from previous changes to the Combat Academy we've got more improvements to the space this week.
Replaced the combat academy flag near the Lumbridge market bank chest with a bank chest flag.
Removed the combat academy flag in the south-west corner of Lumbridge market. The south divider was also a mix of wooden fence and ropes, which has now been converted to a rope divider.
The description of opportunistic merchants in the Lumbridge market no longer specifies that they are trying to cash in on the war.
Two pairs of socially awkward citizens at the Lumbridge market have mustered the courage to face each other.
Removed looping voiceover from certain merchants and citizens in the Lumbridge market. No more shall Lumbridge adventurers suffer the tyranny of pineapple promises and troll war gossip.

Solak Scaling

The mighty Solak is intimidating at the best of times, but rightly saw some love in last weeks update. This week there's a few more changes to polish up this gargantuan Guardian of Guthix.
During the Solak encounter, the root attack once again happens after 1:06 instead of after 58 seconds for all group sizes.
A camera shake effect has been removed when base tanking Solak.
Familiars using Ranged damage will no longer break the Crassian Leviathan's special attack animations.
The defend animation removal was missed from Telos and they have now been removed from this encounter.

Bugfixes
No one likes to encounter bugs when they play, so each week we do our best to squash as many as we can!
Fixes labelled Hotfix were addressed between weekly releases.
Fixed an issue that broke Solak's animations due to a knock on effect from removing the defend animations.
Fixed an issue preventing players from retrieving their Starfire Cape from Diango.
Fixed an issue that caused pickaxes stored in the toolbelt to not work as expected in F2P.
Players should no longer get a message stating that 0 oddments have been added to their currency pouch due to the oddments rebalance.
Fixed an issue where some Treasure Hunter prizes were not displaying a description for Free-to-Play players.
Fixed a bug where the Adrenaline Urn could not be retrieved via Diango if the player destroyed it.
Fixed a bug where all colour variants of the Zodiac Costume could not be retrieved via Diango if the player destroyed them.

Looks like the smoke is mostly gone now - but fear not, the Ninja team and their bug-fixing sidekicks will be back next week for another round of improvements.
Have you got suggestions for changes you'd like to see? Use the links up above to let us know!
Until next time!

PATCH NOTES 18th March 2020

Looking for all the latest changes to the sights and sounds of Gielinor? You've come to the right place!
This week we've got a bunch of improvements designed to the game more enjoyable. Things like adjusting what hints are being shown to more experienced players, and some tweaks to Vulnerability Bombs and timers.
Wondering where the Ninja Team have got to? After all the excitement of the last two weeks, they’ve received over 2,000 suggestions! So for now, they’re busy training in the Dojo, sharpening their katanas, and getting ready to bust some bugs and finesse some fixes!

ScreenHunter 428.png
ScreenHunter 428.png (579.41 KiB) Viewed 23062 times
Previously, the Burthorpe and Taverley path books were hidden from 'experienced' players (at least 250 total level), but the achievements in these hidden paths could still be completed. These path books are now visible to all players, but Turael's new player paths in Burthorpe are now marked as complete if the player is 'experienced' or has turned off guidance system hints. (You can toggle guidance system hints, including contextual tutorial popups, in your Settings -> Gameplay -> General -> Optional Interfaces.) So if you're levelling a new alt and aren't interested in the tutorial achievements, you can simply flag them as complete.
Updated UI assets in Moia's Hunt For The Memories puzzle in the Nadir Saga.
Restrictions for 'experienced' users have been relaxed:
Guidance system hints are now automatically turned off if you choose 'I have played very recently' after Character Creation.
Players are now considered 'experienced’ at total level 100, down from 250.
Upon reaching total level 100, the Burthorpe FTUE will be marked as ‘complete’.
Turning off guidance system hints will now clear the FTUE path if selected.
The description for the guidance system hints toggle has been changed to 'Receive small tutorials and tips while playing. If disabled, the Burthorpe tutorial is treated as complete.'
Adjusted how Daily Challenges interact with new players:
Since basic challenges are now generated for new users, a player could progress a challenge without first completing the Daily Challenge interface tutorial. To fix this, progressing a Daily Challenge now counts as completing the Daily Challenge interface tutorial. The description for the Challenge Accepted achievement has been updated accordingly.
Since basic challenges are now generated for new users, the Daily Challenge path is now immediately available, instead of being unlocked by talking to Fara or completing the Burthorpe tutorial.
Removed a 'You are already in the Burthorpe/Taverley area' message which appeared when tracking a basic Daily Challenge in this area.
Corrected an issue where a blank slot could be left behind in the Activity Tracker when handing in a tracked Daily Challenge.

MOBILE
ScreenHunter 429.png
ScreenHunter 429.png (498.71 KiB) Viewed 23062 times
Updated the checkbox style when selecting which Skill to use a lamp on on mobile to be consistent with other interfaces.
Updated the checkbox style within the Audio Settings interface on mobile to be consistent with other interfaces.
Updated the checkbox style for the RuneMetrics drop logs on mobile to be consistent with other interfaces.

OTHER

Vulnerability Bombs will now refresh the effect's timer when throw at or in range of an already affected NPC.
It is no longer possible to complete the solo achievement Fist Contact in a group. We have redefined the term ‘solo instance’ to indicate an instance where the maximum number of players is one, rather than an instance with only one player in it.
Updated the Lumbridge path to stop referring to the Lumbridge Market Bank Chest as the Combat Academy Bank Chest.
You can no longer reclaim the higher-level members version of the Starfury Cape on F2P.
Our Ninja Team spied a rogue set of eight pixels on the Seedicide interface that were separating boxes further from each other than on other drop cleaner interfaces. Seedicide is now consistent with the other interfaces. The Ninjas turned these eight pixels in at the Port Sarim jail and where they are now awaiting to be seen at the Seers Village courthouse.
Removed a force walk tile near the sheep field north of Lumbridge.
Players can now make an Inferior Locator with a divine herb patch.
The cost for charging engrams will now correctly cap after prestiging three times.
Players who choose the pacifist route and allow Ariane to defeat Magic Stick without damaging the troll themselves will now still complete the Burthorpe introductory path.
The Recommended: Unlocked Ancient Curses achievement no longer appears as blank in the Activity Tracker if selected from the Achievement Path window.
The adrenaline urn will now be removed from the Buff Bar once it has been banked.

BUGFIXES

No one likes to encounter bugs when they play, so each week we do our best to squash as many as we can!
Fixed a RuneMetrics issue on mobile that was preventing users from being able to toggle stack value off.
Fixed an issue where Moia’s Hunt For The Memories puzzles relied on mouse events and were therefore unplayable on mobile.
Miscellaneous Smashing Relics fixes.
Fixed a bug that allowed players to claim fully repaired lucky chaotic items from Diango's Item Retrieval. The items will now be retrieved in their broken state.
Fixed an issue that prevented various pieces of dyed Malevolent Armour from being equipped using the Action Bar.
Fixed an issue which allowed players to bypass the cooldown on Adrenaline Potions.

PATCH NOTES 30th March 2020

Archaeology

Our expert shovelbums have managed to dig up an ancient tome, filled with forgotten wisdom from ages past… oh, hang on, it’s just a regular bunch of changes. Not all of them are directly linked to Archaeology, but they’re all very important for this update to work.
Changed the ‘Excavate’ option on several objects not connected to Archaeology in order to reduce confusion. Similar changes have been made to Quest Logs and other instructions.
Added a ‘The Dig Site’ quest icon to all related NPCs, Locations and Objects.
Various changes to the Make-x interface:
Reduced the size of the icons on the right-hand panel
Reduced the size of the text in the 'Values' section
When selecting a different category, it will no longer show information for an object that hasn't been selected or unlocked
The clickable/tappable region on the 'Share' options in the Collection Log interface has been increased to cover the entire button.
Removed the cutscene that plays when entering and exiting the Halls of Camdozaal on Ice Mountain.
Made numerous improvements to the Collection Log interface:
Added a 'Reward' info section to each Log
Increased the click/tap area on the Favourite and Options buttons
Changed the ambiance on the item backgrounds so obtained items are more identifiable
Added seven Bank chests to the overworld in all five dig site camps, the Exam Centre and the Archaeology Guild Campus.
Added 50 new Bank spaces.
Added a 'Bank deposit' map icon to all Bank deposit locations.
Added tooltips to items in the Skill Guide.
Upon levelling up, the Skill Guide will display all the information about each new entry.
Updated the colour of the Adrenaline Bar to better aid those with colour blindness.
Removed the Gatherer's Cape from players and returned all shards, as the cape now has an Archaeology requirement.
Graphically updated Movario.
Renamed ‘ancient components’ to ‘third-age components’.
The Max Guild portal’s attunement is now completely independent and no longer checks against the attunements of the portals in War's Retreat.
Max is now using the 'Jack of Trades' title as he does not own the Archaeology skill pet.
The mouseover text for a locked Invention material now displays in red.
Mousing over Achievements will now show your progress towards any Meta Achievements they are included in.
Added tooltips to the Meta Achievements listed under an Achievement to show what's required. For example, the tooltip for the ‘Who's The Boss? VI’ Achievement, listed as a requirement for the ‘Final Boss’ Achievement, states ‘Kill a total number of bosses. (X/5,000)’.
Changed the text in the Skills interface to say 'View Skill Guide' rather than just 'View'.
Lowered the brightness of the sun over near the Desert Strykewyrms east of Al kharid.

Bugfixes
No one likes to encounter bugs when they play, so each week we do our best to squash as many as we can!
Fixes labelled Hotfix were addressed between weekly releases.
Hotfix: Players can no longer open the Yak Track interface while the First Time User Experience is still active via the Task List or Sir Yaktrick Moore, as doing so caused an issue where blank tasks were displayed on the interface.
Hotfix: iOS users are now able to see and interact with Bonds.
Hotfix: Players can now hand in eggs to Benedict regardless of how much of Benedict’s World Tour has been completed.
Fixed an issue where the message played after unlocking the 15th Anniversary skilling speech bubbles pointed to the incorrect tab within Game Settings.
Fixed numerous graphical bugs surrounding the new Dig Site entrances and the Archaeology Guild Campus.
Fixed an issue where the Gizmo interface would not repopulate the potential outcomes when dragging a material out of the grid area.
Fixed an issue where the spacer wasn't showing between some of the requirements in the Make-x interface.
The thumbs of certain Dig Site employees have been returned to their proper size.
Known Issues
With large updates like Archaeology there will always be small things you find after sign off. We compiled a list of these so you know that we're already aware of these issues.

PATCH NOTES 6th April 2020

Archaeology - Improvements and Fixes

It's amazing the things you find when your get your hands dirty at a dig site. A Mortal Cup here, a Hand of Glory there, a dusty changelog of tweaks to a new skill....
Inspecting a damaged or restored artefact and filling or inspecting a soil box will no longer interrupt your current action, allowing you to continue excavating uninterrupted.
Players may now use either a Harlequin cow, or one each of a Vanilla, Strawberry and Chocolate cow during the relevant Archaeology mystery.
A tick has been added to Artefact information to show if you have previously completed any associated collections.
The chance of receiving an artefact from research has been increased.
Dr Nabanik's 'Third-age Expert' researcher perk has been modified to guarantee an artefact after researching 2 hours or more, down from 8 hours or more.
We have adjusted the text associated with the consumable items found in the Archaeology Guild shop so that both their Item and Buff Bar descriptions are consistent.
The Dwarven Instinct aura will now spawn magical chests after you've earned XP in Archaeology.
An Armadylean yellow material cache at Stormguard Citadel has been moved slightly to make it more accessible.
Corrected a typo where the collector Isaura was mispronouncing her own name. We've all been there, Isaura.
Different styles of REDACTED can now be used for the Capricorn portion of the Contract Claws mystery.
The Slayer and Boss Collection logs will now open correctly when accessed via the Slayer counter.
Let's dig a little deeper, and explore the fixes we discovered over the last week…
Hotfix: Fixed an issue where Player Owned Ports voyages were being set to a negative duration while claiming research rewards.
Hotfix: Fixed an issue where the Player Owned Farm trapper farmhand was not returning.
Hotfix: Fixed an issue that allowed players to gain a pulse core level boost in Archaeology from the Desert Pantheon aura. This has now been locked behind the skill amnesty period.
Hotfix: Fixed an issue that allowed the waterfiend familiar to be summoned for a longer duration than intended.
Hotfix: Summoning pets will no longer run away if they are following you when you log out.
Hotfix: Fixed an issue that prevented some players from completing the Contact Claws mystery if they had already completed the Dagon Bye mystery. Players will now be better informed about their Contract Claws mystery progress when speaking to Movario.
Hotfix: Complete tomes can no longer be stored in the Bank.
Hotfix: Running out of skillchompas as you reach max focus when excavating will no longer crash the player.
Hotfix: Fixed an issue where additional Twitch loot crates were unintentionally awarded.
Hotfix: It is once again possible to obtain the Booboo doll needed to complete The Lost Toys miniquest.
Hotfix: A bookshelf on the Archaeology Guild Campus that was used to start the Elemental Workshop II quest had been lost during renovations. This has been replaced, so it is now possible to start the quest.
Hotfix: Chests in the Infernal Source cellar can no longer be looted with a full inventory.
Hotfix: Fixed an issue where players couldn't fletch Bakriminal bolts if they already had some in their inventory.
Hotfix: Using the Font of Life from your inventory will now correctly progress the Archaeology tutorial.
Fixed a texture Z-fighting issue on Stormguard Citadel.
Fixed an issue with some missing geometry in Stormguard Citadel.
Fixed an issue where some research was not being unlocked.

Zodi-Yak Track

Looking for your weekly horoscope? Well we can't guarantee you'll find love this week, but we can guarantee some pretty neat improvements for the ongoing Zodi-Yak Track event!
Stopped the Twilight Pegasus pet from turning invisible in the Wardrobe view.
Adjusted the Stargazer Goggles to fit female character models better.
Adjusted the Yak Track image on the Upgrades & Extras interface.
The Equuis cape has been reforged with the gold metal shown on the reward image.

Object Highlighting, Depth of Field & Canopy Transparency
We touched on this in this week's newspost, but here's the nitty gritty details of some all-new visual options that are live now!
Four new options have been added to the Graphics Settings:
Depth of Field - Smooths the world view for scenery in the distance.
Smooth Camera Fade - This is an existing feature where the camera clips into scenery it smooths the edges. This is a new option will disable it - especially useful for content creators!
Tree Canopy Fade - Makes tree canopies and certain other surfaces transparent if they would otherwise obscure your character.
Entity Highlighting - Adds colour coded highlights and a pulse upon interaction with NPCs, objects and locations within the game world.
To support the new Object Highlighting feature the mobile Activity Tracker has a new "Highlight" button. This button serves as a toggle to highlight objects in close proximity to your character.

Other
Arcane Blood Mage Hood polycolours are now shown on the male character head when textures are turned off.
The Ninjas have had another word with Egil and Ceremonial Sword plans will no longer retain the progress of previous plans. The first plan you receive after this update may still have some leftovers on it, but every other one will be brand-new.
If a player has an unclaimed prize on Treasure Hunter and the promo changes, they will now be able to claim their original prize instead of being given a new one.
Fixed various issues with the tutorial prompts on mobile during the Invention tutorial.
Modernised the fur shop interface on mobile and re-added the spotted cape to the store.

Bugfixes
A lot of this week's bugfixes were geared towards Archaeology which we wrote out above, but here's a couple more that we snook in for good measure!
Fixed an issue which resulted in text getting cut off in the Skill Selection screen when redeeming lamps and stars.
Fixed an issue that was affecting Treasure Hunter prizes when a players game window was the same length as the Treasure Hunter interface.

PATCH NOTES 14th April 2020

Welcome back fellow patchmeisters! Did you dig up anything interesting this week? We certainly did!
Embedded deep within the twisted landscape of the Shattered Worlds we discovered a collection of shiny shurikens. You know what that means? That's right, the Ninja Team has struck again!
There's been lots of changes to the Shattered Worlds this week, alongside a batch of freshly excavated Archaeology improvements. You can read more about both over in this weeks newspost.
Shall we get to it?

Ninja Strike #3 - Shattered Worlds

Objectives
Three new objectives have been added and the original objectives now have more variety.
The original 'Kill x% of enemies' objective now varies between 65-80% instead of remaining at 75%.
A 'Deal X Damage' objective has been added. Deal a certain amount of damage in a single world to proceed.
A 'Repair the Portal' objective has been added. Enemies have a chance to drop a portal repair kit. Find 3 pieces and repair the portal.
A 'Summon and Kill the Boss' objective has been added. Kill enough enemies to summon a boss, then defeat it to proceed.
Bosses will appear once every 5th world, and the bosses that have been added are:
God Wars Dungeon 1 Generals (not including Nex)
Chaos Elemental
Dagannoth Kings
Barrows Brothers
Some weekly challenges have been rebalanced to better represent their difficulty and reward. Previously, Silver challenges would complete around world 25 but will ask you to complete worlds up to 50; Gold challenges took place around worlds 40-50 but will now require you to beat worlds 80-100+.
More descriptive examine texts have been added to the altars for the 'Ancient Relic' side objective.
The examine text for Ancient Relic itself has been updated to give hints as to its function.
'Minion' enemies that spawn from normal enemies due to the Hydra mutator will now count towards the main world objective.
As such, the Hydra mutator has been redesignated as 'neutral', as it can now be used to the player's advantage. Its icon has also changed to reflect this.
Rewards
Players can now buy Spirits of Battle from the Slayer Mask tab of the Shattered Worlds Reward Shop. These cost 100million anima and can be used to reset the kill count on Slayer masks.
Slayer masks have been collected into one tab and are sorted by Slayer level. Greater demons and dagannoths do not have Slayer requirements but are placed in an appropriate slot on the list.
3 new titles have been added to the Shattered Worlds Reward store. Each one costs 150million anima:
The Abyssal Knight
Animaniac
Abyss Diver
Teleport scrolls have been added to the Reward Shop. These scrolls will teleport you directly to Shattered Worlds and cost 250,000 anima.
Some information will now appear when trying to purchase a locked anima pet.
Additionally, a bug has been fixed where this error message would show even if a player could buy the item
Additional info-boxes have been added to the reward shop.
Info-boxes will now show correctly on mobile.
Fixed an issue where some cosmetic rewards, such as the Abyssal Knight override, could not be purchased with a full Inventory.

General
Players can now use Weekly D&D tokens to reset their weekly Shattered Worlds challenges. This will reset all of your currently completed challenges, and as such can be used even when only one or two challenges are complete.
You can no longer repeat Shattered Worlds challenges in the same week without using a weekly D&D token.
Shattered Worlds has been added to the Minigames and D&D tracking interface. Here you'll be able to find information on the minigame, which weekly challenges you're currently able to complete, and a teleport to the nearest lodestone.
A 'Do not ask me again' option has been added to the chest on checkpoint worlds for players who no longer want to hear how they can save their chest for later.
The auto-pickup functionality for anima has been optimised to leave less anima on the ground.
The audio for Zones of Suffering and Zones of Restoration have been improved to be more noticeable and will now only trigger when inside the zone.
Kenton Decarte will now give players who are new to Shattered Worlds a tutorial on how to play the minigame.
The ability to skip worlds based on your performance is now calculated when completing an objective as opposed to when you reach and use the portal. A chat message will appear to remind you how many worlds you've skipped.
Being in combat will no longer interrupt and close the Mutator Selection interface.
The 'Static' mutator buff bar icon previously displayed stacks from 1-20, where your damage taken was the stack number multiplied by 10. This has now been changed to display a percentage from 10-200 instead. The description of this buff has also been improved.
A 'Skip' button has been added to the end of game summary to allow players to skip the animation that shows the calculations for anima gained during the session.
Interfaces & Messaging
Info-boxes have been added to the following actions:
Upon reaching a checkpoint world to inform players that their mutators have been reset and their stats replenished
Upon getting a new max hit
Upon progressing or completing a challenge
The info-box displayed to players when they complete an objective has been made green, so you can see at a glance whether the objective is finished.
Comma separators have been added to a number of places where bigger numbers are displayed in an info-box and/or chat message. This includes:
When gaining anima from a side objective or the checkpoint chest
When a weekly challenge is completed
When reaching a new highest world
Minimap icons have been added to various items of interest within Shattered Worlds. This includes:
Side objectives

Bosses
Entrance and exit portals
Bank chests on checkpoint worlds
The start and end interfaces are now more consistent with each other.
Tooltips have been added to most interface elements.
Tooltips can now be viewed on mobile devices.
The 'Equip Me' and 'Feed Me' buttons now use the appropriate builders to show correctly and consistently on the default, legacy, and mobile interface.
You can no longer maximise the minigame HUD on mobile, but the interface has been improved so that all information is clearly shown without the need to maximise.
The 'anima gained' icon has been changed to use the same icon as the Inventory model for anima.
Mutator dropdowns have been removed from the HUD. They now appear in a horizontal list.
A tooltip will now appear if you are attempting to start a challenge when none are selected, or when one isn't started from the Challenge Portal.
The HUD tooltip for anima has had 'Lifetime' anima removed, and 'Available' anima changed to 'Total' anima.
The minigame HUD will now remain on screen when on the checkpoint world.
The 'Damage' stat shown on the end screen summary has had its cap increased from 1million to 30million.
The Weekly Challenge interface has been improved and will now better display the tier of the challenge in the colour of the title, the mutators that will be in effect, and the reward for completing them.
And we've changed the descriptions and titles of some of these challenges to be more thematic
The message received when you die during a Shattered World and attempt to open the chest has been adjusted to better describe why you're unable to open it.
The 'anima gained' messages that appear when an enemy is defeated have been made to float up more slowly for readability.

Other
The mage of Zamorak who teleports you to the Abyss from the Wilderness now has a 'Configure' option which can be used to set the mage's left-click or tap option to either 'Teleport' or 'Talk'.
When 'Talk' is selected, the mage will now still offer to teleport you to the Abyss with a yes/no option after the initial dialogue.

Archaeology

Improvements
The Site Map at the Archaeology Guild now informs the players about the site keyboard shortcuts.
Dueling a player that is using a Blood Reaver familiar will no longer continuously loop the duel setup and heal the user's lifepoints.
A chest inside the Exam Centre can once again be used to advance a medium clue scroll.
Artefact collector info will now close when inspecting a new artefact.
The chance of receiving an Imcando Mattock piece now increases in line with your Archaeology level.
Changed 'restoration station' to 'archaeologist's workbench; in the Restoration make-x menu to be more accurate to the game world.
The 'Seed of the Charyou Tree' and 'Hand of Glory (Luck of the Dwarves)' relics have had their levels in the skill guide corrected from 89 to 83.
Guildmaster Tony's Mattock has had it's precision stat reduced from 90 to 85 because the precision increase was providing too many additional projects over a period of time.
If you have the Berserker's Fury relic power active while wearing a full Dharok's set, the Dharok's set effect will be applied instead of the relic power.
The message that displays once you reach 100% sprite focus has been updated slightly.
Some luck messaging has been adjusted in cases where a ring has been swapped as you're getting a lucky drop.
It is now possible to siphon the crystal mattock using a crystal tool siphon.
A popup box will now appear if you attempt to excavate with a full inventory.
The 'Nosorog!' sculpture artefact has been changed to require 30 warforged bronze rather than 30 soapstone.
Players are no longer stopped from excavating after using Space Bar to advance the chatbox that appears upon finding an artefact.
Fixed a graphical issue where material caches of animal furs would appear to float.
The Stormguard site manager will no longer endlessly loop dialog if only one mystery has been started.
Players are now properly informed when they add a researcher to their research team.
Players are now better informed about the rewards from rolling the Infernal Dice.
The Archaeology Guild Shop descriptions for the Material Manual and the Archaeology teleports have been updated to give more information on their uses.
The 'Destroy' option on Archaeology lore pages has been changed to 'Transcribe' to better indicate its function.
The Adventurer's Log will no longer state that the Statue of Dahmaroc has been completed when handing in an Archaeology collection.
A warforged bronze material cache has been moved slightly so that it doesn't appear to stick out the top of a tower.
The Archaeology Master Skillcape can now be placed on the skillcape stand in the Anachronia Base Camp.
Fixes
Fixed an issue with General Bentnoze's 'Red Rum Relics II' collection not appearing in level order.
Fixed the images for historic and classic components in the skillguide and discovery workbench.
Fixed a gap in a wall inside the Exam Centre.

Grand Theft Cocoa
Removed the duplicate messaging seen when collecting eggs during the currently active Easter Event.
Reduced the number of small egg spawns from 5 to 2.
Increased the currency that players receive during the current Easter event.
Decreased the time it takes for the imps and the egg piles to despawn.
Made changes to how many imps and egg piles can be in any one area.

Other
Players that had the Santa Paws outfit equipped to Felix will no longer see a different outfit equipped when they log in.
Increased the options available for 'Draw Distance' on mobile to now include 'Low', 'Medium', 'High' and 'Ultra'.
Fixed some issues with the games graphics settings
The 'Draw Distance' options should now show correctly.
The new 'Field of View' option is only available on 'High' or 'Ultra' draw distances. If set to 'Medium' or 'Low' the option is disabled, however the checkbox remained checked, this error has been corrected.
Flickering Effects can now be toggled again.
