WHAT

Double XP

WHEN

Beginning: midday (12:00 GMT) on Friday, August 2

Ending: midday (12:00 GMT) on Monday, August 12

HOW

48 hours of double xp spread all over 10 days

As soon as you're in-game, your XP timer will start ticking, and will stop the moment you log out.

It is possible to hit pause on the Double XP timer. After the timer is toggled, you will not be able to change it again for another hour.

Pauses are indefinite and persists across log-ins, but if the Double XP time remaining is equal or greater than the amount of time left in the event, your pause will be deactivated. Your Double XP timer will no longer disappear after you've used up all of your Double XP entitlement.

RESTRICTIONS

The Double XP boost is not applied to the experience earned through the following items or activities::

Quest experience rewards
Any experience earned through the Assist System
Items/locations that already give bonus experience, including:
Ancient effigies
Auto-sanctifiers
Brawling gloves
Chaos Temple
Chapel (Fort Forinthry)
Corruption, Salvation, and Harmony auras (and its other tiers)
Cremation will double the Firemaking XP but not the Prayer XP
Dragon Rider amulet
Dungeoneering Wildcards
Dwarven tools
Ectofuntus
Essence of wisdom
Experience lamps
Filled penance horns
Player-owned house altars
Powder of burials
Roar of Osseous
Sacred clay items
Scrimshaw of corruption / sacrifice for Slayer experience; combat experience still receives a boost to 250% total
Tomes of experience
Unstable proteans
Urns
The Wisdom of Scabaras effect of the desert pantheon aura
Turning in loot bags from safecracking
Experience rewards from activities including:
All Fired Up
Daily Challenges
Distractions and Diversions, excluding Big Chinchompa and Herby Werby
Farming experience from gathered produces at player-owned farm
The Beach
Handing in strange rocks and golden rocks
Jade vine
Offering chronicle fragments
Effigy Incubator
Anything which allows points to be exchanged for experience, including:
Brimhaven Agility Arena tickets
Dungeoneering tokens
Mrs Winkin's World of Seeds shop from Vinesweeper
Slayer incentives
Slayer contract (Wilderness)

The Archaeology & Invention skills benefit differently to others:

Archaeology:

Base Precision is doubled (this means double artefacts per hour from excavation)
Excavation & Screening XP are doubled
Players do not receive Double XP from restoring artefacts, tomes, research, mysteries or pylons

Invention:

Item experience is gained at 150% of the normal rate (1.5 x normal experience)
Discovering blueprints and creating items on an inventor's workbench gives 150% of the normal experience (1.5 x)
Protean cogs give 150% of the normal experience (1.5 x)
Disassembling typical items (not "levelable" equipment, see below) will give 150% of the normal experience (1.5 x)
Disassembling and siphoning equipment (augmented equipment, Fishing rod-o-matic, etc.) does not give any bonus experience

Ironman Mode players do not receive an experience boost during Double XP events.

Free-to-play players gain 20% extra experience rather than double experience, with the same limitations listed above. However, unlike during normal gameplay, they will consume any accumulated bonus experience during Double XP events.

DXP Tokens and The DXP Store are no longer supported on Free to Play Worlds.

Respect and Farming reputation are unaffected by Double XP events.

Each day you log in, it will also be possible to convert one hour of Double XP time to credit (250 credit per hour for members) to use at Nic the Trader's store.

There will also be unique daily rewards.

Finally, while stored Bonus XP itself is not boosted, it is still awarded alongside the boost from Double XP Weekend. So a member training a skill with stored Bonus XP on Double XP Weekend will receive +200% base XP.

Once again, we are going to have a friendly clan skill competition lasting the whole 10 days.
You can train whatever skill(s) you want, use up all your allotted dbxp and then add all the normal xp you can cram in and at the end we will see who will be the craziest clannies!

The event will start on August 2 at 12:00 (noon) gmt and it will end on August 12 at 12:00 gmt.

IMPORTANT NOTES

1) Log out before the event, so that the high scores are updated and the tracker can take an accurate snapshot.

2) Abide by Jagex and KoA rules!

3) Don't change your name from now until the end! The tracker will get confused. You will also jeopardize your precious stat increments.

4) Remember to activate your weekly buff at the avatar habitat in the citadel.

5) There will be tons and tons and tons of portables on different worlds at ex CA (Combat Academy) in Lumby, at Fort Forinthry or other spots, you can check the Friend Chat 'Portables' for these locations and on discord we have a bot that will tell you some of their locations with the command !portables.

Runepixels is not working properly at the moment. First, it was not possible to see our current competition and the old competitions were also missing. Now, the competitions are back but they are empty (no data). No idea what is the problem (Runepixels is aware there is a problem though) and I have no idea when it will be fixed and if we will be able to salvage this competition. In the past, just before the "Have fun KoAers", I used to had the sentence "just be aware that poop might happen". Well poop happened and I am sorry.
