I saw a guide on youtube where you're supposed to be able to run out, hit jad, and get back behind cover before he has a chance to attack you. It takes a lot longer because you have to wait for his retaliation to reset, but if you can time it right it should be a big help
(this is for the kiln, not sure if it'd work with the fight cave safespots)

I don't believe it's possible to flinch Jad in the Fight Caves. The flinching method is also very useful for the Dills in the Fight Kiln though.

Thanks to this guide plus a big help from a deathtouched dart I killed Jad in just 1 hit. Wootsy!

I would recommend using blood fury instead of fury these day's.
