Slayer xp/hr Guide + Recommended blocked tasks!

Post by The Orange » Fri Aug 26, 2011 11:54 pm

https://spreadsheets.google.com/spreads ... utput=html

Disclaimer: This guide is from an xp/hr standpoint only. Obviously you probably wouldn't block waterfiends if you really need charms, etc.

Note: I've heard good things about cannon/maul on wyverns, haven't tested though.

I haven't slayed for a while now so some methods may be outdated, and I just started slaying again so Jadinkos will be added very soon!

All of these values should scale depending on your levels. So no matter what your levels are, you should get proportional xp.

I like your speedsheet. Thanks for the info. If I may offer a suggestion, a column with weapon used would be a nice addition.
Did you use keris with kalphites?

We used Chaotic Rapier for almost everything. Kalphites were done with a cannon and Chaotic Rapier.

Interesting. Could use another block and say to not unlock aquanites.

I used a slightly different block list and skipped several tasks when I slayed.
Out of curiosity, is that with overloads or not?

Aquanites can be avoided by not spending 50 points on them. That frees up a block slot.

We both used full Bandos, turmoil, and extremes on every task.

I have used a cannon at the skeletal wyverns, and I am happy to say that it is effective.

Oh yeah, was going to mention the wyverns. I've tried a maul + cannon there and its fast, biggest downfall is to safely do it you need a unicorn instead of a yak. I have done it with a yak and a few sara brews because I wanted to bank the bones (sipping brews between hits, only when ovl is within 5 seconds of re-boosting me), but SS and brew couldn't quite keep up. Perhaps with a few sharks/rocktails, brews and overload one can do it with a yak, only eating when the brew doesn't safe high enough. Hate missing out on those attack turns though.

It is fun though, keeps a person good and busy.
