I hate alching. Let me say that again...I hate alching. Nevertheless, it is a powerful strategy for gaining mage exp from any other skills. For example:

After WCing logs and Fletching/stringing bows, alch them.
After Mining ores and Smithing armor, alch them.
After Slaying a level or two, alch all the drops.
After Summoning with all those charms you got Slaying, alch the pouches.
After Crafting air bstaves, always alch them.

Mage is an incredibly useful skill. I trained in the Mage Training Arena until 86 Mage, then stopped training it completely. I am now 98 Mage, and it is mostly from alching. As much as I hate it (did I mention that I hate alching?), it is a very easy method of training Mage. "Casual Alching", where you are only alching a few hundred items at a time isn't all that tedious, and the exp really adds up over time.

When alching, use noted items, and place the pile of notes in your inventory right where you click the alch spell. That way you don't even have to watch, just slowly click the same spot. I like to watch a movie while alching...but I still hate it.

Same applies to checking "Fur 'n' Seek" in the quest list to see when you can visit the skeletal horror next (weekly).

When I'm camping a certain monster (say Aviansies or Fire Giants) and food drops but I'm already full, rather than just leaving it, I "recycle" it. By "recycling", I drop food from my inventory and pick up the food dropped by the monster. Then after 2 or 3 kills, I re-drop the food from the monster and pick back up the initial food I dropped to keep the food from disappearing and to keep other players from looting it until enough space has freed up in my inventory for me to hold all of it. Just my way of making sure nothing goes to waste. :-?

ok here's one more tip (maybe everyone know this); the best place to train cooking is in cooking guild. You need varrock 3 body to get inside the door with the bank. The second best place is under Burthrope pub near the rouge's den.

When doing a skill like Fletching or Herblore where you need to be constantly next to a bank if you go to a chest u can 1 click them means less clicking i use the RFP chest in Lumbridge.

Don't know how important this is but it does save time and expense. Instead of wasting money on duel rings I used edge bank. When using a graahk if you use the very first bankstall your graahk will come into the bank next to you. Any other stall he gets stuck outside. Saves som/e time :)

Love this thread. Especially from MabelR. On lunar doing ZMI and no more teleing to Edge to run to the abyss to repair pouches. yay!

Here's one for summoning. Take a terrorbird full of 5kg granite, chisel, charms, shards and pouches to the summoning place sw of Yanille. Chisel down the granite, make lob pouches and swap them to the guy. You can camp there for a long time and don't waste time running to a bank.

And a useless but fun one: If you go to the gallows behind the draynor bank and wait a minute, a ghost will appear.

Actually, the transient ghost is northeast of draynor manor (not bank)

Once you reach a combat level of 127 or higher, the bothersome wild dogs in Brimhaven Dungeon ignore you!

Regarding some of the comments about tele-othering bots, when you tele-other them, the confirmation screen comes up and the bots stand there doing nothing because they're not programmed to click yes or no, so they just kinda stand there
