Why do ppl want these? They don't *do* anything (?), and they aren't attractive (nor particularly noteworthy).

Why do people want these? To stop there feet getting dirty when they do farming of course!

They are a 'rare' drop from the farmers and serve no purpose! I'm hoping one day Jagex will either 'bin them' and they become rares or give them some sort of stat boost for gardening!
