Range Guide for Cheap People

Post by valtrax » Fri Sep 04, 2009 2:55 pm

*NOTE THE XP IS WITH SACRED CLAY COIFS, THEY GIVE DOUBLE XP*

The xp is for lvl 90 range, with black dhide ranging ammy, ava acc, snakeskin boots, sacred clay coifs, and barrows gloves.

I trained range on yaks in a completely non busy world, non stop killing and no talk, power training at its finest.

Here is the break down of each knife and xp per hour,

Bronze knife 97K xp per hour
Iron knife 99k per hour
steel knife 111k per hour
black knife 114k per hour
mith knife 115k per hour
addy knife 117k per hour
rune knife 135k per hour

* note max hit increased by 1 with steels knives, again by 1 at addy knives , and 2 with rune knives.

Seemingly bronze most cost effective, but steels are quite a bit more xp, at more cost. Suprisingly the difference between knives wasnt that great. The amount of knives use per hour is somewhere between 720- 800, depending on knife luck etc.
I will try to post more with different npc's excluding rune as throwing 1m an hour away is not cost effective.

sClay coif last about 33k xp. The total coif use is 32 for 1 million xp, well just over.

I've been camped up at Yaks with a mage shortbow. Perhaps I should go and buy some bronze knives? Haven't got any clay coifs I'm afraid.
