Beacon Network ... All 14

Post by astrochunk » Tue Jun 16, 2009 7:29 am

BEACON NETWORK: PROCESS FOR ALL 14

Items needed:

combat bracelet
catspeak amulet
explorer ring
boots of lightness
spottier cape
home tele tab
tinder box
goblin village tele globe
forinthy bracelet
4 law runes
4 fire runes
super stat restore
prayer potion
super energy restore
55 payment logs (this strategy worked for two us, using yews)

(terror birds could be used with scrolls in headdress, not really necessary; never had to use explorer ring, either)

Strategy: Three payment logset loads at bank and 3 delivery & lighting runs.

I. First load - start at pools.

1. wield/wear combat bracelet, catspeak ammy, explorer ring, boots of lite,
and spottier cape.
2. load inventory with tinder box, home tele tab, goblin globe, and 25 payment logs
3. dip in pray, health, and energy pools
4. tele tab home, take karyls portal
5. run into canfis bank, get glory and put in inventory where tab was
6. run and slip thru fence at river salve, lite and pay (l & p)
7. run to rag and bone site, l&p
8. use cbt bracer to monastery, run to black knights, l&p
9. use cbt bracer to warriors guild, run to burthorpe site, l&p
10. use globe to goblin site, run, l&p
11. use glory to tele edge bank

II. Second load - edgeville bank

1. swap combat bracelet for forinthy
2. load 20 payment logs into inventory
3. run to edge site l&p
4. run to g e site l&p
5. run to varrock palace site l&p
6. run to bar/pub site l&p
7. use glory to tele edge bank

III. Third load - edgeville bank

1. get 4 laws, 4 fires, super restore, pray pot, super energy, 10 payment logs
2. tele to trollheim peak with 2 laws and 2 fires, run to site down mt due east l&P
3. agility cut into wild and run south to death plateau site l&p
4. tele to trollheim peak with last 2 laws and fires, run past gwd, drink restore, l&p
5. agility cut into wild and run north to zamorak temple l&p
6. run north to frozen waste l&p

Notes: 1. I didnt have 81 summon, so I didnt pay arctic bear at gwd site. It wasn't needed and earlier beacons will likely burnout before it does.
2. After taking agility shortcut into wild from gwd/bear, check your stats, drink restore again and drop vial.
3. Putting on anti mage for last two beacons mite help against revs. A partner is the best out here to run interference for you and sacrifice to a rev to lock them up in a fite. More partners, the better.
4. Dont worry about getting back safe after the 14th beacon. If you get back ok, great! If you dont, you still beat the game, by keepin emphasis on just doing the beacons!

Thanks for the guide Astro :)

I'll put it up to the guides section on main page (not in forums) for you, if you don't mind.

Nice Guide!

That is the order I lit them in.

I used Magic Logs everywhere and only left logs with the first 5 beacon keepers.

For the last 2 in Wildy I tele'd to Bounty Hunter and then ran to the Oblisk Tele and went from there.

Thank you, thank you! I have successfully ignored the beacon network until now, but coming up on 92 fm I think with your guide I'll give it a try.

You can burn approximately 1200 logs per hour. So, for yew logs (202.5 xp per log), that means approximately 243k per hour. Also, if you are wearing the Ring of Fire and Flame Gloves, this will increase your xp by 5%, yielding 255k per hour. Also, if you use either the pyrelord or forge regent familiars, these give you a bonus of 10 xp per log. This gives an additional 12k xp per hour --> a grand total of 265k per hour. (However, in retrospect, although I used the pyrelord for much of my fm training, I would not do it again. It's cumbersome and slow.) I prefer training fm on the beaches of piscatoris.

Ah thanks for the info...maybe a middle-term goal
