Interesting info on farmers and leprechauns

Post by RhondaLGilly » Thu Feb 26, 2009 3:15 am

I found out quite by accident that leprachauns will note veggies, flowers, and grimy herbs for you.

Farmers will also take noted items as payment.

Wasnt sure if any of you knew this or not so thought I'd post it.

also wiht the updates today the leprachauns will also hold your scarecrows.

Thanks for the info. It's been a while since I farmed, and this will help a lot. :)

the farmers taking noted payments has been there for a while, but the Leps noting your crops is new and very welcome.

I also didn´t know that the note herbs.. Saves a lot of banking :)
Thanks for info, Gilly.

Another thing which maybe not all know is that you can see in game which payment farmer needs for particular crop: click the farming skill in game on your skills panel and then the crop ( trees ) you want to plant - and it will tell you in a window what you need as payment.

Getting herbs noted didn't work for me yesterday. I could note the curry leaves, but as I tried to note the dwarf weeds the leprechaun told me it wasn't possible.

from what I have read, they have to be grimy herbs, if you clean them, then they can't be noted.

Thanks alot Gilly, I had no idea that farmers accepted noted payments. Farming just got that much simpler (ie no more running around with 10 unnoted pineapples) :). And although I've never done any herb runs, I've been thinking about it and knowing that I can note all the herbs will be a great advantage.
Currently playing: Civilization V, Hearthstone, Dwarf Fortress II, Golf (IRL).

I love the new leprechaun-noting feature. They will note anything you harvest, and even will note pineapples picked from the 5 bushes in Brimhaven. (I tried that a earlier today to check it.) :)

A little farming tip:

If you use regular compost on the farm spot you can then use super compost on it which means a little bit extra farming experience. Every bit counts on this slow skill.
