Violet Is Blue Too
Improvements
The Fairylight Whip and Necklace can now both be worn as cosmetic overrides once you've completed the quest.
Fixes
A stack of letters found in Violet's room after completion of the quest no longer shows as 'ph'.

User Interface
Improvements
Mobile users can now read the titles of the coloured books while rearranging them during the Broken Home quest.
Fixes
Fixed an alignment inconsistency between bought & sold text in Grand Exchange history.
The UI for both space dusts and meteorites of all sizes will now display properly.

Mobile
Fixes
The flags on the Friends List now appear in line with the text.
Miner Magnus' chat will no longer loop after choosing a particular dialogue prompt on mobile.

Other
Improvements
As the festive period has now finished, Gielinor has returned to its pre-Christmas state.
The Grand Exchange has been reverted.
The Christmas Cracker has been removed.
Various trees around Gielinor have returned to normal.
Prifddinas has reverted to its usual look.
The text of the 'Gonna Need a Bigger Range' Achievement description has been corrected from 'Cook five sharks in Catherby using the Cooking Gauntlets' to 'Cook five sharks on the range north of Catherby Bank using the Cooking Gauntlets.'
Fixes
Fixed a typo regarding the duration of the Immortality Defence ability tooltip.
The Magical Jingle Bells will no longer direct players to the wrong floor during a Present Hunt.
Players who previously owned Snowboards from the 2017 event can once again claim them from Diango.

Quests
Improvements
Updated Violet's facial animations.
Fixes
The tasklist given by Mandrith during the 'Rebuild Edgeville' miniquest now displays text correctly.
The progress messages in the 'Mahjarrat Memories' miniquest now count up towards the correct number of memories retrieved.
The Herald does not reference Seren being in pieces after completion of The Light Within.
Leela will no longer interrupt your dialogue with Senliten during the Do No Evil quest.
A certain cutscene will now play properly after using Leela to teleport during the Do No Evil quest.
You are no longer required to unequip and re-equip the Mourners' Outfit in order to enter the Head Mourner's House during Mourning's End Part I.
The hat worn during the Rune Guardian's test in Rune Mysteries will now change colour as expected without having to re-equip it.
The Slayer masters can no longer assign corrupted creatures as a task when the prerequisite quests have not been completed.
The Skull Mercenary now has dialogue during the 'Ghosts of the Past' miniquest.

Achievements
Fixes
The hard Seers' Village Achievement, 'Beware of the Dog' can now be completed by using the right-click 'select destination' option.
The 'Sharks are Good for the Elf' Achievement can now be completed using the 'Deposit all' button.
The duplicate Draccles plushie has been removed from the Lost Toys Achievement. This won't affect those who've already completed it

Text-Based Changes
Fixes
Fixed a large number of grammatical issues and inconsistencies in level up messages.
A duplicate examine text on Olaf's sunken boat has been corrected.
Removed duplicate text dialogue from Sir Amik Varze and replaced it with the correct messaging.

Other
Improvements
Various bosses around RuneScape have taken their Santa Hats off for another year.
You can now add runes to urns from your Rune Pouch.
More information has been added to the Amulet of Zealots' effect tooltip.
Raw beast meat can now be fed to carnivorous animals on Manor Farm.
Updated the 'Destroy' message for pieces of the Athlete's Outfit.
Fixes
Players who have not fully completed Tutorial Island can now receive their Prime Gaming rewards on log in.
Mackers can now be spoken to in the Player Owned House.
The green smoke in the Phite Club boss fight will now be cleared during the cutscene transition so that it won't KO players.
Tightened security in the Oddments Store and Rare Token Store.
A configured Spring Cleaner 3000 will no longer display popups asking the player to configure it.
You will no longer be told you have a cannon to claim from Nulodion when you do not.
Seren spells now display the correct icons when used.
The Hunter & Agility training Minimap icons now display correctly when using the Legacy Map Icon option.
Bank booths on the west wall of Varrock West Bank will no longer prevent you from using other booths on the same wall.
The Teasing Stick can no longer be equipped from the Bank.
Erethdor's Grimoire is now deactivated on death.
The Dowsing Rod now works as intended.
You'll no longer receive popup messages regarding deposits in the ore box when smelting gold or silver before completing Family Crest.
The Mining animation is no longer continuous when clearing rocks in Shredflesh's Cave.
You may now interact with a furnace with daeyalt in your Backpack without receiving a message saying, "You're not sure what sort of effect you would get by putting this into the furnace."
While on mobile, Interface tutorial highlights are now hidden if a different interface is opened on top of the current one.
Dreadnip will now only leave if you move too far away.
The adrenaline urn buff icon no longer persists when removing it from the Bank.

Hotfixes
The Violet is Blue Too music tracks are now unlockable. If you were unable to unlock them during the quest, they will be made available on log in.

Ninja Strike Notes
Player Owned Farm
You can now mark favourite animals with a new right-click/long-press option or via the Animal Pen or Barn interfaces
Favourited animals cannot be traded between players, given to requesters, or handed over when attempting to 'Sell all' to a buyer
New buttons have been added to the Animal Information interface to make it easier to feed animals honeycomb
Long-press or right-click the button to feed the maximum amount of honeycomb
Animal buyers can once again be set to appear via 'word of mouth' based on what animals are in the pens
Speak to one of the Potteringtons about contract options and clear your advertisements to try it out!
Adding food to troughs via the 'Make-X' menu will now pick an appropriate food based on the type already in in the trough, or the type used last
If neither of these options are possible it will default to the first appropriate food you have in your Backpack
The 'Make-X' trough menu will now start at the maximum value
The warning which first appears when attempting to harvest an animal under 100% health and happiness can now be toggled back on
You can find this toggle in the Farming options
Player owned farm paddock requirements are now listed in the Construction Skill Guide
For consistency, various messaging on Manor Farm and The Ranch Out of Time has been turned into info-boxes:
Activating and deactivating overhead icons for animals
Changing and checking season with the Seasonaliser
Placing, removing and checking Farming totems
Trying to use The Ranch without completing the Anachronia Base Camp tutorial
Not having enough materials to build dinosaur pens
Quick-selling animals to buyers will now trigger an info-box stating the total amount of Beans gained
Dinosaur eggs dropped by feral, ripper, brutish and venomous dinosaurs now trigger lootbeams
Tooltips for animals' health and happiness meters now appear when they are tapped on mobile devices

Textual
Improvements
Motherlode Maw dialogue now explicitly states that all skills have to be levelled up to 95 in order to claim the reward.
Fixes
Fixed a typo on boots enhanced with a Shadow Spike.
Fixed a punctuation issue on the Quest Complete screen on French worlds.

Archaeology
Improvements
You can now disable the Archaeology skill on both cinder and pulse cores.
Fixes
You can no longer attempt to change the Cosmetic Prismatic Pendant to the Archaeology style. Trying to do so will now send a message explaining that no such pendant exists.
The textbox that appears to inform you of the inspect function on Artifacts will no longer remain indefinitely.

Other
Improvements
Adjusted the default camera sensitivity for new users on mobile.
The prerequisites for the 'Not Such a Rotten Idea' Achievement have been tweaked. You'll now need to complete Darkness of Hallowvale instead of achieving the level 500 reward in Temple Trekking.
All three extant Felix outfits are now available on the Oddments Paw - er,
Raksha has been added to the list of Bank Presets.
You can now bless extra fine sand at Lumbridge Altar.
Fixes
Fixed an issue on mobile which caused the information on the Death Tutorial to not appear when tapping the information icon.
The Always Adze Relic and the Inferno Adze will no longer burn logs in the Temple Trekking minigame.
Logging into a free-to-play world no longer swaps Action Bars designated to members with the primary Action Bars.
The positioning of 'Requirements' in the Beasts tab has been adjusted.
Steam players will now see promo-specific banners.
The Top Tip in the Sinkholes minigame will no longer overlap other UI elements.

Hotfixes
Fixes made during the week!

Erethdor's Grimoire now correctly deactivates on death.
Ironmen no longer benefit from the 20th Anniversary Event's increased Slayer XP buff or Elder Overload Golems.

Improvements
The 20th Anniversary Invitation is no longer given to players on Tutorial Island.
Fixes
Players doing the Dragon Slayer portion of the Grand Party miniquests can now reclaim the Frying Pan from Duke Horacio if they've destroyed it.

Other
Improvements
A new miniquest called 'The Vault of Shadows' has been added, which takes you through the Vault of Shadows Archaeology mystery.
The requirement to do so is now 58 Archaeology, although you will still need 107 Archaeology to restore your own Spell Scrolls and receive XP.
If you have previously completed the mystery, speak to Dr Nabanik to complete the new miniquest.
Fixes
It took him a while, but Max has finally reclaimed his Max Cape!
... and he's now wearing it!
Max has also reclaimed his 'Master of All' title.
Fixed an issue which caused Max's skilling pets to desync sometimes.
Players will no longer crash when spying on Agent 007. You're good to go, Scaramanga.
Resolved an issue with one of the tooltips during the Prayer section of Tutorial Island.

Ninja Strike Notes
Tortle Combat Miniquest
The Doomsayer has re-evaluated the dangers (or lack thereof) in the Varrock Sewer and has removed the warning for entering.
After a recent incident involving several tortles, the Ninjas have fine-tuned the Trap Telekinesis spell's teleportation mechanic.
General QoL
Broadcasts will now display at what XP threshold or kill count a skill or boss pet was obtained.
The Saradomin Owl, Zamorak Hawk and Guthix Raptor have been converted from object pets to interface pets.
If you own these god-birds already you will unlock them upon next log in - otherwise, they can be obtained by taking the egg from an incubator.
All three growth stages will become available on unlock.
The Ninjas are currently wrangling even more object pets, so keep your eyes peeled for similar changes soon.

Settings
Improvements
Upper-left hover text is now disabled by default for new accounts.
Fixes
Resolved an issue with the Settings > Controls interface that could cause assigned hotkeys to become unresponsive in-game.

Other
Improvements
The Grand Party has ended. Thanks for coming along!
Treasure Hunter will now accurately calculate and inform you of how many Oddments you should receive when converting prizes before they're claimed.
Fixes
The Fortune perk will now work correctly when smelting.
Fixed an error that was occurring when asking War to combine jellyfish on a free-to-play world.
The 'Blingy Fings' Archaeology collection will now show a green checkmark when complete, as all other collections do.
Hard emote Clue Scrolls can no longer be completed with the incorrect emote.
'The Prodigal Spender' will no longer unlock before purchasing all the requisite permanent unlocks.
Fixed an issue with the You Are It quest which blocked progression on the mobile platform.

Improvements
Added the option to reset the weapon puzzle in Tortle Combat. Players who might have previously gotten stuck can now continue the quest by using this option.

Fixes
Fixed the incorrect colouring of Clan Chat and Friends Chat, as well as other minor text re-ordering issues.
Lifeboats are now no longer removed when ships are sent out in player owned ports.
Hotfixed - Lifeboats are no longer consumed after a player-owned ports voyage.

Known Issues

Client Crashes
We are aware of a handful of issues impacting client stability and we're working hard to address as soon as possible.

Today's Game Update includes a potential fix for the recently reported black screen / loading screen issues. Please do let us know if you were experiencing this and if it has been resolved now.

Over the coming week the team are working on releasing further hotfixes to address client stability, with a focus on addressing the most commonly experienced crashes first. Thank you for your patience - we'll provide more information as soon as we can.

Graphical Settings Menu
This update includes a UI bug where by changing the advanced graphical settings of any feature can inadvertently change the settings of the feature before it in the list (ie. changing the settings for Lighting Detail will actually change the settings of the Water Detail). We’re working to resolve this with a fix as soon as we can.

Ninja Strike 20

Slayer Improvements
Mazchna and Vannaka have switched places in the pecking order.
Vannaka will now assign tasks to players of level 30 combat and above.
Mazchna will now assign tasks to players of level 50 combat and above.
Their task lists have been changed to accommodate their new level bandings.
Vannaka has moved out of the Edgeville Dungeon to the ruins just south of the Edgeville bank.
Mandrith has also joined him there, migrating from the Edgeville bank.
Slayer masters will now recommend the next best Slayer master to go to if you don't meet their combat or Slayer level requirements.
Jacquelyn Manslaughter, formerly of the Burthorpe & Taverley area, has moved to Lumbridge to begin training new players as a full-fledged Slayer master. Her assignments can all be completed in the Lumbridge area.
Turael and Spria now only assign Slayer tasks for creatures that can be found in the Burthorpe and Taverley area, to ease new players into the skill.

Slayer Quality of Life Improvements
Moss giants now attack with melee and are weak to fire spells.
Fire giants now attack with melee and are weak to water spells.
More black bears have awoken from hibernation near the Body Altar.
Crocodiles east of Sophanem have had their HP halved. Hope they don't get too snappy about it.

Other
Abyssal demons will no longer teleport the player around sporadically while in manual combat mode.
The Vengeance Group spell can now be used even when no one will benefit from it, to make it consistent with the other Vengeance spells.
The Managing Miscellania Reward interface has been brought in line with the standard Reward interface found across the game.
Higher tier lecterns in the Player Owned House's study now increase the speed at which spell tablets are created.
After some feedback, the Ninjas have given the Saradomin, Zamorak, and Guthix god bird pets some Agility lessons. These follower pets will now follow behind the player at a faster speed.

Visual

Fixes
Clan Chat colours have been fixed.
Fixed an issue that was causing the Draw Distance option in the Graphics Settings to appear twice.
Fixed some issues with the Settings overlay panel on the log in screen.
Fixed an issue with the Steam client that could cause the log in UI to go missing.
NPCs are no longer clipping through environment pieces during a cutscene in Azzanadra's Quest.

Character Creation

Fixes
Fixed an issue with the 'Randomize' button not functioning on the facial hair section.
Fixed an issue with the Graphics Options when running the auto-setup from the Character Creation screen.

Other

Improvements
Reduced CPU overhead when idling in the lobby.

Fixes
Info boxes should now consistently appear above the Examine target with no offset.
Fixed an issue on Steam which caused the Log In interface to disappear after logging out of the client.
Fixed an issue with the notification dots for unread messages in the lobby.
Fixed an error that could occur when adding memories to the Blank Observation during Azzanadra's Quest.
Players are once again able to reach the Praetorium war table in the Kharid-et digsite.
Fixed an issue that was preventing the correct total number of Bonds owned by the user to be displayed.
Azzanadra no longer appears at the world gate after completing Azzanadra's Quest.

Fixed a visual issue with a chimney in Yeti Town.A tree in the Wilderness is no longer floating and now blocks player characters properly.Flattened some uneven ground in the Werewolf Agility course.A rare 'double-tree' by the Tree of Balance has been de-doubled. Sorry.Fixed minor wall issues with some buildings in Varrock that were causing certain elements to appear detached from the wall.The windows in the Varrock Museum are now all aligned.Fixed a graphical issue with the well in Lumbridge Swamp.Fixed a minor graphical issue with the model of the Lorehound pet.

FIXES


Using the 'Fill' and 'Inspect' options on an Ore Box will no longer interrupt actions.Time Sprites will no longer disappear when inside Bandos' Sanctum.

*MOBILE

IMPROVEMENTS


Deployed a new style for the top level of the mobile beta:There are new assets for top level icons that match the style used in the desktop client.Buttons that open new screens or overlays and buttons that toggle something on the top level are now distinguished by a disc under the icon.Icons in the top left are now arranged horizontally.The minimap has been moved to the bottom right, which makes interacting with the surrounding buttons easier when the device is held landscape.

FIXES

Fixed an issue that could cause the mobile store to appear off-centre if opened via Treasure Hunter.

*OTHER

Bank Pins are now required to open the Oddments Store.The Monkey Archer is now unable to move beyond its platform.You must now use the Enter key to confirm changes to any values on a Grand Exchange offer.
