Come on Dan! Giving up after 1 attempt!

Who am I?

A long, long war was my life's work, but I only fought for 19 years. I looked up for inspiration which cost me my life. I wasnt shot out a cannon and no one beat me but this was important after my death I also have a feast but dont burn the stake!

Well Done Al!

Let me explain to the rest who may not of got it (Dan!)

A long, long war was my life's work,
the hundred year war between the English and French is where she 'did her damage' as a fighter/ leader.
but I only fought for 19 years.
She was killed at 19 years old
I looked up for inspiration which cost me my life.
The stories were told that she spoke directly to God. Her final trial was by English priests because she said she spoke to God
I wasnt shot out a cannon and no one beat me but this was important after my death I also have a feast but dont burn the stake!
She was cannonized last century (made a Saint), had beatification a few years later (recognised that she entered the Kingdom of Heaven), had a day of feasting named after her (May 30th) and finally was burnt at the steak.

I was going to add " I served the big easy but thats not new!" because she was also known as the Maid of Orleans, the big easy is new orleans, but Big Al got it very quickly!

I didn't make this one up but can remember it from years ago:

A train travels through a tunnel and has a power cut half way through. When it starts again 5 minutes later, it reaches the end of the tunnel and they find a dead man in a carriage, suicide. The police found out the following information about the man:

The man was returning from the hospital after a life changing operation that cured a disease he had since birth. He was in good spirits when he left the hospital and the other train passengers said he was smiling and looking out the window.

What happened:-

Well Done LuckySpherewho answered this in the cc.

The man was blind. He went to hospital where he was given his sight. When the train broke down in the tunnel on the way home and all the lights went out, he thought he was blind again and commit suicide!

Normally I'd say "envelope" but with the state of Royal Mail these days you'd probably never receive it to find out!
