As guest presenter for one time only!!......a special Christmas story!
Inn at Bethlehem gets spoof Tripadvisor review from Mary, Wise Men and shepherds

Melchior - one of the three wise men - was impressed with the 'unique experience' offered by Bethlehem's 'rural retreat'

A delightful review of the Inn from the Nativity story has been posted online, just in time for Christmas.

http://www.hopeless.me.uk/hopeless/tripa/

The spoof review , apparently left by Melchior - one of the three wise men - on review website TripAdvisor describes the Inn as small, unattractive and difficult to find.

He complains about the food, the overcrowding and lack of table service - but leaves a top notch review because of the 'unique experience' of meeting a newborn baby in the filthy conditions round the back of the Inn.

The review reads: "I find it's not possible to put into words why meeting that family at the Inn was so memorable. It really is quite weird; weird and wonderful.

"So although The Inn, Bethlehem was really a pretty awful place to stay I cannot give it less than 5 stars for providing me with such a unique experience. Do you know, I ended up giving the little lad all the gold I had left."

Other reviews apparently left for the Inn included a zero star review from B.V Mary, complaining about the lack of hot water and towels - and one from Balthazar explaining why he chose to stay at the Bethlehem Hilton instead.

The spoof was sent to TripAdvisor over Twitter, who replied saying: "This made us smile."

Learner driver stopped by police had PARROT in driving instructor seat

The woman was pulled over in West Yorkshire causing police to remind Twitter users: "parrots are not authorised to supervise learner drivers"
parrot.jpg
A learner driver was caught travelling on a motorway accompanied only by her pet parrot.
The woman, in her 50s, was pulled over in a 4x4 near junction 22 of the M62 in West Yorkshire on Sunday morning on suspicion of speeding.
West Yorkshire Road Policing Unit tweeted a picture of the parrot along with a warning to learner drivers.
Along with the picture, the police tweeted: "Say hello to my little friend.
"Unfortunately his owner has a provisional licence, and since parrots are not authorised to supervise learner drivers, her vehicle has been seized by us on the M62."
Drivers who hold a provisional licence are only permitted to drive when accompanied by a qualified motorist and are banned from driving on motorways.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police confirmed that officers confiscated the 4x4 after the woman was pulled over by officers at around 8.45am.
She will be dealt with at a later date for motoring offences including speeding, he added.
Chief Inspector Mark Bownass, of West Yorkshire Police, said: "The rules of the road exist for a very good reason and it is important to remember that, if this lady had been in a crash or incident, she would not have been covered by insurance as she was not licensed for the journey.
"Learner drivers should not be on the motorway at all and anyone who takes to other roads as a learner must be accompanied by a qualified driver, have a good understanding of the Highway Code and also make sure they are covered by the qualified drivers insurance policy."

It's back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pilot Buys Pizzas For 160 Stranded Passengers

A US airline pilot has been praised after he purchased pizzas for 160 passengers on board a delayed flight to Denver.

The Frontier Airlines flight from Washington DC was diverted to Cheyenne, Wyoming, on Monday night due to inclement weather in Colorado.

Facing the prospect of an hours-long delay, Captain Gerhard Bradner decided to call Domino's.

The pizza shop's manager, Andrew Ritchie, said he was about to send employees home when the 10pm order for 35 pizzas came through.

"I put my hand over the phone and I said: 'Guys, you're coming back'," Mr Ritchie told the AP news agency.

The flight's 160 stranded passengers could hardly believe their eyes when less than an hour later attendants began handing out slices.

Logan Torres, who posted photos on Facebook of her fellow passengers gladly accepting the pizzas, praised the pilot's "act of kindness".

As the story began to go viral, Miss Torres wrote: "It's not about buying pizza its (sic) about going out of your way to take care of the people that have been put in your charge.

"THAT is a stand up person worthy of recognition and I am so excited and happy that this captain will be getting noticed for his graciousness.

"We need MORE 'Pizza captains' of the world and the world would be a better place!"

When interviewed by KUSA-TV, Capt Bradner declined to say how much he paid for the pizzas.

He told the Denver news station: "If the need arises you need to take care of your family; you need to take care of your passengers.

"They are my responsibility the moment they step on the aircraft until they get off the aircraft."
