1-The beta hasn't opened yet.
2-The release date for the katana is currently listed as June 22nd; Although this is subject to change.
Did no one click the link in Brad's post?

Am I the only one getting tired of people getting free cosmetic items for using game cards? I have been paying my 5 dollars a month for like 7 years straight even when I didnt play RS for months at a time. Sorry for the rant.

I feel exactly the same way! I guess it's their way of getting us to pay more by getting cards, but I'll just stick with my 5 bucks/month. I just feel like those of us that have been around that long deserve something, too. All we get is a veteran's cape. Lame.......... :roll:

It says that this kantana is given only to certain players with unknown reason for now, it looks very nice... too bad that im not chosen. I was always a loyalty member ;)

Just so anyone knows I'm like 95% sure you can still buy the game card and use it to get the item. Credit fr however long will be added to your account so your next credit card charge will be in 3 months for a 3 month card. You wouldn't lose your savings. Im pretty sure.

A kid was given this by a J-Mod b/c he didnt get a flaming skull from his game card. The kids bought the game card at the wrong store, showed proof of purchase and were given this sword along with 5k loyalty points.
