Board Layout, sry i'm finding it difficult to read ....

Post by digimac » Tue Aug 26, 2008 9:57 am

Hi all, really sorry but i'm finding the new board really un user friendly :( and difficult to read. I can't seem to alter the viewing settings as in colour etc... What happened to that nice white and blue one u had up a few days back, the posts seemed easy to read and had nice icons on the left of them so I knew what was new, what was hot topic etc... Sorry if im being a nerd about it, but just finding posting awkward and readin awkward too.

I just click on the button "View active topics". Nice shortcut to see what's new.

And I changed the timezone to my place, which makes it easier too to see if something is new or not.

Hmm I guess so, but even theres no quick reply, so I guess i just have to get used to it, the blue bevel just makes me scroll for ages on the main forum pages.... Usually on forums they have like 3 or 4 styles that the user can choose from, I checked in the user settings but theres only this style. ahh well :)

I love the new boards. I'm sure you'll figure them out fast.

I think Deep can turn on a quick reply. Most forums have that capability.

hey digi, sorry you're gonna have to be a bit patient :P

A lot of the old functions will be coming back, this is the very basic pre-set version at the moment, except for fixing permissions and re-ordering the forums I haven't done anything yet with the forums, but have no fear they will be as easy to navigate as the old forums, the old forums had a lot of functions that are missing here, but they will be added.

I just want to make sure each one works in a test environment before putting on the live site, so as not to have any of the issues the last site had. So every function will take a little while to add.

I'll be making a post for people to post their issues / requests as soon as I have some of the basics out of the way today.

Sorry it's causing you problems but it won't for long, I promise.

As with the old site there will be several themes for users to choose.

The forums are priority over the mainpage.
