Ok, so does anybody have info on a really good guide? I'm ready to take the plunge. There's HUNDREDS of guides out there, and no two are alike in fact most are very contradictory of each other.
Money is no object so to speak. I have $30 mil, and probably most of the suggested armor sets (full guthans, karil, etc)
I'm seriously considering stocking up on pruple sweets. I know they don't heal much and are VERY expensive for what you get, but they stack and as I said, $$ isn't a problem.

Be careful, prayer has a seriously annoying 3 second lag now and it might make your trip rather difficult, I'd wait till jagex fixes this.

A helpful tip not found in most guides: go to your POH at the altar, or if you don't have, a church altar. Easiest with
2 computers but you could resize screens to see both. Put on a you tube vid of someone fighting Jad, and on the second screen, practice switching your prayers in unison so you are good at this before hitting Jad for real.

I got my first firecape at 80 def with 84 range, didn't require purple sweets. I used verac parts for prayer bonus and did all the killing with diamond bolts(e). I used brews all the way, with 80 def I really didn't get hit that much. You just need to watch a video a few times over and memorize where to stand at what wave, and the priority you need to kill the monster.
