Dragon Implings

Post by Kofal » Tue Aug 25, 2009 8:39 pm

Do we have any dragon impling hunters in the clan? They are 480k each now on the GE.

Edit: They are going down in price now.

I'm one but I do not specfically go hunting for them. Most are chance run ins or friends calling me when they spot one.
So they are more regular on Mos? Most of mine I've caught in Puro-Puro.

Yes, there are many spawns on Mos, I've caught many many there. The key is to catch every impling you see and make a new one respawn, then dragons will eventually spawn. I carry alch runes too because the magpie and ninja's have good stuff to alch.

They are common at the little tomb thing that is close to the cave horror cave entrance. Near 3 trees close together. Sometimes if you just stand there and alch stuff and catch all you see, you get lucky too.

I bought my first godsword from this LOL

Only caught 1 last night, didn't get to play as long as I wanted.

Maybe I'll do a little guide for this.

That is too cool. I never knew this before. Catching at Puro-Puro I had seen the same type imps I had just caught respwn. I didn't think (or realize) this catching could be tied to "higher level" imps spawning. I'll have to try and get with you one time and double team them.

Feel free to ask :) I can show the spawn spots I know of. I even do bank stuff there with net and imp jar and catch every one I see (even the baby's). I caught 7 dragon implings while making potions there last weekend, but I looted them like a dummy.

I also know of people who hop worlds instead of waiting for the respawns (can take 20 minutes waiting i believe)
Unless it has changed :)

The respawns in Puro Puro are tied to which one you catch. If you catch a magpie, that will trigger the magpie re-spawn in x amount of time. Out and about, you have to get rid of the lower ones to allow the upper levels to re-spawn. I used to hang out in Puro Puro a lot when it first came out. They've changed it somehow tho. I used to be able to just follow the imp on the other side of the hedge. The other day I was there, and was running around a lot more. Didn't like it as much.

For some strange reason I have beenable to spot dragon imps all over the place.. I dont have the level to catch them but i call them out when i do see them so I can track for others if they want it....

gibs I had that happen a lot before I could catch them, kind of frustrating huh LOL
I made a screen shot of Mos with some notes on it, am posting in the guide section.

And yes, I've done the world hopping and also if you get on a crowded world they respawn faster.

oh man you better believe i catch them! they are one of my major sources of income. And yes Mos is the BEST place to catch them, and kofal is exactly right when he says to catch every imp and to wait by the tombstone. deposit box by trouble brewing is a great way to drop anything you get into ur bank quickly
