RuneFest 2016 is approaching us quickly, and there can be no RuneFest without the prestigious Golden Gnome Awards.
This year 15 gnomes are up for grabs, and the categories are as follows:

The Golden Gnomes awards will be held at Battersea Evolution in London for RuneFest 2016, and it'll alll be streamed to http://www.twitch.tv/runescape on Saturday 17th September.

Hey guys,
We wanted to go into more detail on the Cosplay awards this year, as it's been changed from previous RuneFests.
Instead of Best Male Cosplay and Best Female Cosplay, we have moved to Best Cosplay - Player Selected and Best Cosplay - JMod selected.
Player Selected
Entrants to this Golden Gnome will need to enter before the event, by emailing Jagex with appropriate details - more info on this to come.
Upon arrival, or before the Cosplay parade (to be decided as we get closer to the event) all entrants will be assigned their number. RuneFest attendees will receive a voting slip in their goody bags and those voting slips will be used to choose their favourite cosplay - the 5 outfits with the most votes will be moved to the finals. Votes will be collected through part of the day, starting at the cosplay parade.
At the finals, the 5 finalists will be judged by the viewers of the stream by an internet vote put into the twitch chat and on RuneScape social - this poll will be launched when the finalists go on stage with announcement after finalist interviews.
Therefore, interested RuneFest attendees select the 5 finalists and the viewers select the winner.
JMod Selected
A panel of JMods will select 4 cosplayers from the cosplay parade, including any who didn't email their entry in for the Player Selected Golden Gnome (so anyone who shows up). These 4 finalists will be taken up on stage for the Golden Gnomes presentation, and the winner as chosen by a JMod panel announced.
Obviously, none of this is set in stone yet and it's possible some details may change, but this is the idea we'd like to go with. Feedback and thoughts welcome!
