A couple of questions come to mind because I somehow seem to screw this minigame up:

1. How much money did you put in there to start?

2. How often do you have to "manage" it?

Every week (that I remembered to do it...) I topped the gold off with the max 7m. You don't need to do this. I can't remember the exact amount per week it consumes but if you just keep 1m in there and check it every other week you should get good returns. The biggest thing is making sure you keep the approval up. I would just go every week and chop wood to get it back to 100%. You could do it every other week and still manage a decent return. Either way you will make profit from it as long as you are doing 100% maple logs (this is how you get the tree seed nests which is where the big $$$ is at) and herbs for the rest.

If you have any other questions just let me know on here or in game if you see me on.

Don't level them hanging for to long
RS Wikia wrote: There also seems to be a maximum limit to time you can go without collecting your rewards. This requires not collecting for many months with claims that this limit states that it took 8-12+ months to reach this point. This is accompanied by the statement "The storerooms are full, your Highness. You should talk to Advisor Ghrim to collect what we've gathered for you" although it does not appear if you have an approval rating of 100%.
And if i'm correct the daily reward is calculated by daily rating so if you want to get maximum reward you need to visit your kingdom daily

So what do you do with all those maples then? I guess I need the fletching xp, so would I just craft them to bows and sell on the GE?

It's up to you, they sold quite easily a year ago but I have changed mine to 5 mahagony, 5 coal and 5 herb so no clue how they sell right now.

I was able to sell them on the GE for 3.5m only took about 30 minutes for people to buy them over mid.

According to a Kingdom guide, put 9 workers on Maple for the maximum number of bird nests. More than 9 will not increase the nests. ☺
