The BTS video came out today, implying that the KK will be coming out next week (Tuesday).

Thoughts from the video:
- Boss is aimed at those with 80 combats in teams of around 10; Because of this, it makes me feel like this boss won't be all that difficult, it would surprise me if a competent team of 5 in good gear won't be able to take this down.
- New queen?!? According to the video there will be a new queen boss also, could be a good option for smaller teams or lower levels.
- Tactics? Some interesting things in the video, looks like they've taken some of the AOE magic attacks from bosses in dg and given the KK some of these, also, one guy gets 1-hit with what looks like a mele attack...
I would guess at this boss being similar to corp post EOC, where one person will tank using incite and the rest will focus on DPS while dodging AOE damage, either way I can't wait!
As we saw at the end of the last BTS video, and now in the January BTS (http://services.runescape.com/m=news/be ... nuary-2013) the Kalphite King is coming out!
Although we don't have much information we do know there is going to several new drops, including level 90+ weapons.
Part of the good news about this new boss is that it will be a GROUP INSTANCED boss fight, meaning that we can fight it in groups without worrying about fighting for worlds ect.
I think it would be great if we can get some KOA teams going to pwn this boss and try and pick up some of the juicy loots. I will try and set up an event shortly after release however there is a couple of problems to consider;
- Ge prices on release; On release the ge price of new items is usually massively under the actual value, due to this the best method to use is 'FFA or LS split' where the drop is received by one person, then sold, the money is then split between the whole team. This method requires some trust in your team mates but is much more profitable on release.
- Unknown tactics/weaknesses - Obviously the most effective strategies will not be known on release, because of this it is suggested that only high levels, competent PVMers and those with decent gear attempt bosses right as they are released.
