FPS issue update

To dispel a few heated rumors and provide a general update on where we are..

First off, we're not ignoring this issue and we're certainly do care about it. I'll speak on behalf of us all here, as a player who is also affected, that we're all over this problem and doing whatever we can to resolve it.

I'll give you a little update on where we are as far as I know. This may be slightly inaccurate as this is going by the last update I was given, however this is still very recent so any further developments after this will very soon be communicated to me.

We released an update recently which should have helped the FPS issues for a lot of players, but unfortunately it would appear not all were positively affected. Infact, we saw a dramatic improvement in the problem.

Granted, it'll still appear bad in your eyes and I fully understand this being a user who is affected by the problem myself. But as a player and a technician working on the issue, I talk to you as both; trust me when I say we're doing what we can to resolve the problem.

- Mod Reach
My friend who's been stuck at about 5 fps has seen an increase to around 16 fps.

I hope this helps anyone who's experiencing issues.

My FPS has never dropped lower than 20 even on a crowded area. Wonder why? :-?

Well i recently tried using something called Gamebooster, which i got from this link here http://download.cnet.com/Game-Booster/3 ... 13645.html Or if weary about links, google gamebooster and it should be the second link down from the top marked with cnet. After opening the installer it is suggested that you click on the skip button when it asks if you wanna also install other selected programs it came with, as it may counteract the the program itself. But after installing and using i went from having 7 fps to double that, which is pretty drastic improvement imo. How it works can be found by this link here if you need more info http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.html and again if u google gamebooster, it will be the first link to the top.

How does the program work? Not that I need it since my FPS is already 25+ on its own, but just wondering how it works.

Still getting ~10 FPS on my laptop (though the other day I was getting 2 FPS while watching a video). Strangely, I get ~30 FPS in some instanced areas, like the grave digger event. Not sure what that's about.

Building a new computer tomorrow, so I'm interested to see if I get better results.

Mod Jacmob (heh, remember him?) recently posted that the FPS issues will be resolved soon: http://twitter.com/#!/RSOmustardo/statu ... 04/photo/1

My fps consistently runs now at 1. I can play, but it's not fun, and I crash a lot, so until they get it fixed I probably won't be playing much. I'll be around the forums, but that may be it for a while.
