Fight Kiln Progress

Post by Zaijal » Tue Feb 14, 2012 9:07 pm

So i'm interested to see how far people can get and if they could post their gear/setup and a screenie of how far they can get here :)

I have my girlfriend staying with me for the next day or two so I won't be able to make a serious attempt until thursday im guessing, but i'd like to see other people's attempts in the meantime

Here is a video from Woox, which killed it a couple of mins after Castle Wars.
You can see at a point that a JMod is saying ":o" on his chat while he is in the kiln

It's a different jad altogether, btw. This one supposedly hits much harder (max hit is over 1000 lp) and like you said, the animations are different. This one has no healers (thank goodness). I haven't had time yet to do the quest and give this a try, but I'm looking forward to it.

So I gave it another go and made it to wave 25, died because I ran out of brews :( A pack yak is 100% needed for this cape.

Here is a screenie from wave 24 :p

Also, if you make it to wave 24, you also have to deal with my picture attacking you as well. (see right side of zaijal's screenshot) :P

Using Ganodermic with chaotic rapier and Staff of Armadyl, also full of flasks.

I use a tort until it's empty and then I pull out the unicorn.

I also bring EE for spec :p

Oh btw I ended up getting to wave 30 last night so I got the early bird bonus :) unfortunatly I had 2 doses of brew left to fight a Jad + 3 huge melee'ers

I just finished stocking up for giving the kiln a try this weekend. Just finished the quest. I'm torn on splurging for arma staff and runes or just using poly. Filled all my flasks and I'll be able to use yak. My goal for this weekend is to at least reach wave 30 sometime for the bonus xp. It's for any skill, right? Not restricted to combat ones? Gratz on reaching it.

Plan on using gano with farseer (I'm cheap and can't even afford arcane atm), rapier, and I'll take chaotic cbow with broads because I like being able to safe spot and "rest" for a moment occasionally. Then for mage, either poly or arma. Must remember to make sure my rapier is charged....

Spent time yesterday and today watching woox's and castle wars' attempts. Did you use the mage/range/melee crystals at all? Wondering if they're worth the cut to defensive stats.

The first time I used one of them I got ko'ed :p The invulnerability crystals and restoration crystals are amazing though, make sure you use them wisely. If you save 2 invulnerability crystals for the double jad wave you should be able to pass it.
