Money/Skill Help

Post by el nino56 » Thu Jan 05, 2012 6:14 am

Hello clanies =D

So, I'm running a bit low on cash, about 5m atm, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for money making. Of course any and all suggestions are extremely welcomed, but if at all possible I would greatly appreciate suggestions that will let me train my mage, range, crafting, mining, or smithing. I know it's an odd request but i could think of no better group to ask. Feel free to pm me or reply to this post with suggestions. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you =)

For this week, do barrows, I've made like 6m today, and a bunch of mage xp (polypore staff.) You can get lucky and get a vissy as well (~8m)

You can profit making decorated urns, most of them sell for more than double what the ge price is. You can also make money off of jewelry, especially the enchanted items.

El

Do you collect the daily stuff? I know it's not a quick term solution but it's well worth it for long term gain.

battlestaves, seaweed, sand (hand in sand quest), flax, pure ess to name a few

Well, if you want some mining exp, you could go mine some iron ore... they are nearly 400 gp each atm, and with a rune pick, you can get quite a few ores an hour.

mine coal instead; it gives more exp per ore and pays off better as well. If you use the carts nw of Seers Village it minimizes the number of trips to the bank.

Or.. you could mine iron ore just inside the falador entrance to the dwarven mine, then use the dg resource dungeon right next to the iron ore and use the deposit box inside to desposit your iron directly to the bank.. 5 second bank trips

My favorite moneymaker: Air battlestaves, from scratch. Magic: making glass, charging orbs, and alching, crafting, making the staves. RC xp too, if you make all your runes. Or not..... Get sand from Bert and seaweed from Arhein.

Smithing: last time I checked, fletched mithril bolts were selling for A LOT. Or it might have been unfletched. Last time I checked was a month or so ago. :)

Take all those maple logs you can get from manage kingdom and fletch into longbows(u) - unstrung. This not only makes them worth 4x as much but gives you decent fletching xp.

Some very good hints here.

The new mushroom is quite a nice little bonus, the seeds are around 300gp each. You'll get 9 mushrooms from a patch worth 10.8k each, so its a pretty awesome return. Takes about 4 hours to grow and theres 74 farming required.

EDIT: Changed to 9.
