No, this isn't a thread with special whispers of sweetness to you.... It's about those love notes we keep getting!

As usual it took me a couple of days to be bothered to look up what it's all about. So, just in case you're as lazy as me - here's the info:


The valentine love note is a promotional item won on the Treasure Hunter minigame. Love notes can also be obtained through skilling and monster drops. The promotion runs from Friday 14th February 2014 00:00 GMT to Monday 24th February 2014 23:59 GMT. All love notes will be removed from your inventory on Friday 14th March 2014.

To trade them in just click on the notes in your backpack. You will need 7,150 notes to purchase all items.

It's 7,700 to get all the rewards - you need to buy 12 chocolates to get the xp and titles.

Last valentine day I got at least one of the rewards but this time it seems like there will be none :? . Rather useless event in my opinion .

was able to get a all 12 candies buy trading by but seemed noone trading them anywhere. rewards where only 5 small lamps for each of your lowest skills. Not worth the effort i went thu to trade

I actually didn't do badly at all, which is a surprise to me. I ended up by getting the box of chocolates with just 3 leftover chocolates, no trading needed, and had enough for the crown and wand. I must say that the constant dinging of the inventory with the valentines became a real nuisance when I was planning on using those precious inventory slots for something else, but at least it didn't come down to the end with no way of getting anything because some rare piece was needed. All said, not a bad bit of junk compared to some of the holiday events in the last year or so. I still would prefer a little nonsense quest with a single goodie at the end as we had back in the days of the chocatrice cape (my personal favorite piece of junk).

I kinda agree with Grid. I got all my chocolates without a whole lot of fuss and even cashed in the biggest lot of notes I got on treasure hunter. Could have been much worse.
