Now for the biggie: did you report it? Even bigger: does it do any good? I have had the same character trying to sell me RS gold for real money for months. Every time i get a message I right click on it and report it. Same dude just keeps at it. I don't think the reporting actually goes anywhere.

What worries me is that this is prolly a kid, or someone exploiting children by sending you their child porn. It is very worrying I think.

sad thing is, a friend of mine from my old clan was actually pulled into this trick. he lost his whole bank because he went to a website that was supposed to have nude photos of this girl he's been playing runescape with. he ended up talking with the person who sent him to the key logging site and turns out they were of course, a guy who just found some pictures online of one specific girl

I passed the pedo test, and did not take the bait. I reported the person under "breaking real world laws." While most reports don't do much, I suspect Jagex pays closer attention to this particular rule.

I looked up user KerinaRer on the Highscores tonight, and unfortunately he/she/it was still there, so it looks like the account wasn't banned.

Either that, or Chris Hansen works for Jagex. Why don't you have a seat right over there?

I remember reporting a player for a very offensive name, not to say too much, it had 'die' and the 'N' word in it. I added him and monitored his name and it took 4 weeks for him to change it (even after multiple reports from me, reporting it on the game forum (it was blocked out after 10 mins) AND chatting to an in game MOD!)..........Then all he did was replace it with 'kill' and the 'P' word instead (people who originate from Pakistan). This was reported and it took a further 4 weeks to change. Funny that, 4 weeks, he probably never received anything from Jagex and just changed it himself!

It gets worse and worse by the day.
Thank goodness there is a mature clan out there that means you can keep away from most of it.
