99 range and xp rates

Hi All!

Just got to 99 range yesterday which was kind of special because prior to level 98 I had got all my range xp by plinking away at slayer tasks. Then I bought about 10k of red chins and went to the zombie monkey tunnels on Ape Atoll. While the emote was neat I found the colour of the cape sickly looking and stashed in my house on the rack almost immediately.

If you have never been, you need to travel quite a ways in until you encounter the skeleton gorillas. Get under one of the rock bridges and let loose the weapons of mass destruction! At first you will have maybe 5 of the skeleton gorillas on you but they respawn from their bones and they multiply to 12 or so. I was at 98 range xp and had 546 k remaining, after 1 hour I had 218 k remaining so that is 328k xp in an hour. Of course you may get more or less depending on your level, pots and equipment -your mileage may vary.

I am working on prayer now and have found that if I use dragon bones with a war tortoise in my house with gilded altar and marble incense burners I can get 10584 xp per trip and the cycle time is 2 minutes and 30 secs (duel ring back to cw). That is inventory: 2 marrentil, 1 tinderbox, house teletabs, 24 dragon bones in my inv and 18 with the tort. Works out to 254k xp per hour and 4 hours to 1 mil xp.

I find it useful to be on lunars and to home tele to Lunar Isle bank, and the POH teletabs back. It's especially useful now that you don't have to wait 1/2 hour to use home tele anymore.

When i train prayer i use orther POH's, my journey is I use a house tab to tele to yanille and then I get to the mounted glory and tele to Draynor. Quite good because Edgeville is often crowded with tortoises.
I can get an average of ~250k xp per hour aswell

Gratz on the 99 range!! yes the cape looks like pea soup. I too put it in my POH immediately, even thought it was my 1st 99.
