The only "tricky" part was due to my impatience:
My goal was to get 91 smithing so that I could smith the rune cbow without boosts, but I got impatient. So, when I got to 89 smithing, I bought 2 dwarven stout (m) from the GE and when it came to smithing the runite cbow limbs, I drank 1 stout -- gives +2 to smith lvl...didn't work! I drank the second stout...it did work!
It's important to note that in constructing the rune cbow "from scratch", everything must be done south of the Legends Guild (yew & bear meat), in Witchaven, and in Yanillle...nothing in Ardy.
Other lvl boosts can be used too.
