Orienteering Pt III-Lost in Gielinor-9pmBST/4pmEDT Fri-19th
Orienteering Part III - Lost in Gielinor!
It's been more than 6 months since the last event - hopefully everyone is fully recovered enough to do this again!
The Place: World 82 - Al Kharid Palace.
The Time: 9PM BST - 4PM EDT
The Rules: You can carry no items in your inventory, and be wearing nothing at the start of the event. To confirm this you will need an "empty bag caller" (purchasable in Al kharid for 14gp - you will need to use my friends chat to use the function (Deep_Pain)
This will primarily be a test of your sense of direction, your knowledge of the map (and knowledge of travel around the map) and your ability to determine where I am.
There will be 10 rounds all slightly different, where I'll place myself somewhere (not hiding I'll tell you where) the competition being who can get there first. There are some twists, which I wont mention so you cant pre-prepare lol. One thing I will mention, at each round start, you must again have nothing in your inventory or on your person and no familiar. There are no rules how you travel, get there any way you can, but you must have no items on you when you arrive (or be willing to drop them before the next round starts).
Points will be scored in order of your arrival.. ie 1st to arrive 1 point. 5th to arrive 5 etc..
Lowest points at the end of 10 round wins.
This time around ( to try and make sure we don't have to wait for Dan to be killed by chaos elemental 10 times ) There will be a 5 place cap - So the next round will start after 5 people have arrived everyone who didnt make it to that point will score 6 points. The people who didn't arrive at a point will still need to empty bag call at the start of the next round in the CC - but they can start the next round from wherever they are.
This event should be a little easier with the free teleport updates.
For one or more of the clues you will need your treasure locating equipment - and this:

Praise be to the gods there are prizes this time around (again - don't get too exited lol)
1st Place 1'000'000gp
2nd Place 500'000gp
3rd Place 250'000gp
There is also a spot prize of 250k gp for an added twist in one round.
Good Luck!

Looks like fun I will definitely have a problem with the direction thing lol
Re: Orienteering Pt III-Lost in Gielinor-9pmBST/4pmEDT Fri-1
added runetrack time convertor - there is currently a bug with the time convertor when setting events to uk time - for those in the UK ( maybe others?) it is showing gmt +2 and the wrong time zone.
Please ignore this, the countdown timer in yellow is correct.

Re: Orienteering Pt III-Lost in Gielinor-9pmBST/4pmEDT Tue-1
Looking forward to this
Although a tip for points, how about first gets 5, second gets 4, and so on, instead of having to give everyone a 6?

He can't anymore So ummm Sorry but I need to double postponeDea wrote:Consider giving him a warning!Oobz wrote:What a let down!
Have had a really busy week irl, which is also why I've disappeared from RS this last week. I have work due in at uni tomorrow and I'm worryingly behind meeting the deadline. No way I can make this.
I've moved it to Fri - as the first day free of events around that time - I have Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sunday off - so can definitely make this one!
Re: Orienteering Pt III-Lost in Gielinor-9pmBST/4pmEDT Fri-1
Is the double postpone part of the first event???
Did I win round one for figuring it out?
