When should we vote on skill week?

In the past, we usually voted on next month's skill week approximately 2 weeks before the event started.

Pros: People had lots of time to prepare for skill week.
Cons: Some people had much more time to prepare for skill week than others giving the former an advantage prior to skill week start

In March, we changed things. We voted immediately prior to skill week:

Pros: Competitors were more "even" at the start of skill week.
Cons: People who wanted time to prepare for skill week had less opportunity to do so.

So, where do we go from here? Let's vote!

My thought is: in the big scheme of RS, does it really matter? Just wondering...

I received several comments from ppl who felt strongly either way about when the skill week vote should occur. Hence, the vote.

I voted for 1 week prep time, but honestly I don't really feel strongly about the issue. I'm happy with whatever the clan decides.

It seems to me that the top gainers in the skill week will most likely be the same regardless of how much time they're given to prepare. The members who care the most and have the time to devote will still rise to the top.
