They dotn really work peroply - it should be tellnig me I have new posts on topics but it doesnt - then it also tells me i have a new post on forums that i posted on..lol

I'm not sure why it's not telling you about new posts, it works fine for me and test name. If you come on the site without looking at the forums it will mark them as read maybe that?
That happens on a lot of phpBB forums, that you're own posts show up as new, I know it does it a lot on tip.it.
I wouldn't know how to fix it, but I'll take a look see if there is a fix out there.

oh yea I know what you mean it does the same on tip.it dont worry - i use dates to see anyway jsut thoguht id see if it did it for anyone else.
