Just downloaded the B list.... there were 2,765,605 names.... holy cow, I thought the 8 million number they had said earlier was all the names, not just A-C

Well before they introduced the e-mail log-in, you actually had to log in with your account name. It is my understanding that all original account names (so the first name an account had) before that time, would never be accessible to anyone else again. That is also why such obvious names as 'Princess' are not in the hiscores. If you add to that all the names from bot accounts that got banned, players that haven't logged on the past 2 years, etc. it may seem a little bit more realistic.
