Hey all
For the month of July we will be pushing recruitment for our clan.
Clan Vex
Please use your vexes to raise awareness of KoA clan. Place in strategic places where you think we will attract suitable members.
Clan Chat open to non-members during weekends
Each weekend during July (Friday 10pm BST / 5pm EST - Monday 10pm BST / 5pm EST) the CC will be open to non-members. Please feel free to let friends know about this, if they are looking to join KoA now or in the future. We will be giving all KoA members kicking rights during these times so that the CC isn't abused by guests, if staff aren't absent.
A separate post will announce this each weekend, as a reminder.
Get involved in hosting events
Even if you aren't on the staff team you can still host events. If there is something that you feel you have good experience in and it isn't currently being offered by the Events Team, please feel free to contact any staff member about hosting your own event.
Fansites
KoA staff are currently looking at updating and utilising Fansites to promote KoA clan. In the next couple of weeks staff will post links to Fansites and RSOF.
If you have any suggestions for promoting your clan please share

Sounds like a great idea. Let's have some positive active cc's on the weekends so the visitors can see what we are really about!

Probably a stupid idea - but how about screenshots/vids of the Vex in unusual places?
Taking on the QBD armed with Vex.
Clannies stood around the Vex deep in wildy.
Just something to catch people's attention.

Would be very cool if anyone could do a youtube clan promotion video... and we all take part
It would be a great teamwork and I could finally show my acting talents!!

I vote we send Puts!
On a serious note, do we have a goal? Is there a certain number of memberships we're looking for?

No specific target really - we had a general idea from recruiting in the past that actively recruiting via forums etc.. only really bumps applications up to a few a week. A lot of our new members will always come from searching for an adult clan on google.
We're in a bit of a quiet patch, I think this is just a reflection of less activity in RS in general, more competing clans, smaller clans in general etc. We have around 120 members at the moment.. usually we are in the 150-160 range. Even then it can be awkward to host in certain periods. I think the idea is push all out recruiting in July. Then take stock and see if we need to stay actively recruiting, we certainly have no aim to be the biggest clan out there, but we would like to push up the member level a bit so we can offer more events at more times and maybe bump up the CC activity in the quieter timezones.

RE: Fansites and bumping, please do not bump fansite posts - a member of staff is assigned to each fansite - we get told off if bumped too much
there are some things you can do on fansites tho: if you post on a fansite - most of the fansites have a user field for clan - we have often gotten members in the past from people checking out either that or a link in someones signature to the clan.
For example our site is well visited this month from a post by Huzzah on tip.it in 2011 (why such a random post should get us so many visits i have no idea)
http://forum.tip.it/topic/305681-runescape-quest-web/
just a little member of koa clan image with a link to us. gets us heaps of visits (not sure of conversion rate)
