That is a very good point Nels :) The new names can be very confusing if someone changes theirs a few times, and a clan can grow to beyond 200 therefore it is impossible to have all clan members and friends etc, added to your friend list (which makes it difficult to see previous RSN)

Atm the "bananas" as you so eloquently put it (lol) are as follows:

1 stripe = clan friend or potential member.
2 stripes = existing member.

Therefore the unused 3 striped rank leaves us with some possible alternatives / rearrangements.

By doing this you have effectively prevented me from ever taking over the clan. Drat!

sergeant gives orders??// ye well nuthin like killin a clan from the inside. used in the army? i never considered joining the army for fun...in my humble opinion, ,with the exception of clan site admins all service positions should be rotated,, every1 get a turn wearing the hat,, every one gets that part of .. contributing feeling... for me i dont feel at home till i put some work into it,, can long term ranked members relate to that?.. any ways ..i wont try to change the stucture

Interesting idea though in my opinion the rotation of position in order for everyone to get a " contributing feeling" is not possible. There is a lot more behind the star just only " being a star".
First of all, the "contributing feeling" doesn´t come through the " star " only. There are many ways where you can help out - be generally kind and helpful , organize events ( btw- everyone can organize the events), welcome new members, be active in events and in cc. It will be noticed and it all helps to create a better atmosphere in clan.
KoA has never been a clan where a rank means a power to tell ppl what to do. All the stars are equal to every member. Being staff means rather more responsibility ( if I have posted an event, I can´t go and drink beer instead, can I ? ), more time put into clan stuff ( i.e less time in RS) and - these are also the reasons why not everyone wants ( or can) to be a star.

Can I have the dagger before I do the agility and RC, pl0x?
At least then I'd just be killed, without the torture first.

sounds like a good why to know who has been here for a long time i like that. I don't think the rank should indicate any kind of control over other players. I support it if it only relates to the amount of time in the clan and does not give any benefit.

I like this but it seems like if we're going to go to a system like this there needs to be a way around the longevity requirements. It seems ok to me but what if you guys decide to promote someone who hasn't made the length requirement? Just a thought...

On a lighter note, I think it would be a good idea if the *Troublemaker of the Week* had a symbol next to their name on the clan chat list so that other members could see at a glance who to avoid etc. Sorry Esme :D :D :D
I would only be for a week anyway
