Homeworlds are fun indeed, although i usually just go to a low ping world, whatever world that is at that time.

I used carpets to Al Kharid, then ran to the balloon near the sawmill, take a mage log and tinderbox, and got to grand tree very fast that way (tip when u leave kharid through the north gate there is a singer to recharge your run energy)
