I agree entirely, and have also made at least 90% of my GP from slayer.

And almost all my charms for my summon have come from slayer task drops.

If you want a spectral, I'd suggest it as an extra.
You'd be better off building up your base kit with bandos and dfs first.
Then, if you get enough cash, buy a spectral to compliment your base kit.

Either way, you should def own a dfs.
In my opinion it's the most flexible piece of kit in rs.
