A big reason the top players got xp this fast is rumour that a j mod leaked insider information about the skill before release mainly pertaining to hand cannons. Which when broke down give 4 rare items that each give around 5k xp per item used on a weapon gizmo so you get around 20-25k per gizmo. So...

this was doing a black dragon task as i didn't feel like killing qbd, in a span of 20 kills i got 2 kbd heads and pet lol.
